In a way, it kind of reminds me of Luigi's Mansion minus the Poltergust 3000 and all the ghosts.

Not may people have the patience required to hack Zelda games. It's not just editing level layouts and graphics, you've got to worry about events and object placement and whatnot. Pity, really. Also, on a side note, I think I have to re-download the ROM. Zcompress won't recognize it.

Another nice game to get into hacking afterwards is Sonic 2. I believe that it has almost the most utilities out of all other games that can correspond with it. Actually, I think it does. So it wouldn't be hard to edit anything in the game, since I believe everything (except for special stage layout) has been covered by utilities.

Vurano: All I gotta do really is edit the gfx for the ending & finish editing the levels. What lill text is in there is already edited.

fabio: Now that ya mentioned it, your right. xD

Speaking of Zelda 3 editors... I'm making slow progress on mine. but progress still.

I can't remember what image this corresponds to but it's in one of the 4bpp sprite packets, along with explosions and the skull for when enemies die. First step is to get functional dungeon editing and copying .

Granted ill give you the patience statement but as for events they can actually be skipped. You can skip certain requirements like pendants by having them obtainable in one dungeon alone.

try using something like snestool to remove the z3 rom header and then adding it again. This could make it readable in zcompress again. Worked for me.

also a another glimpse of my work in progress the Legends of Hyrule.

Good to know you'll eventually hack again if this gets released through

haha that was the first hack I ever did if I remember rightly.

Like many noobs, I expected everything to basically hack itself and be easy. Then I realised just how much work it was Obviously now, I know I would have to put a shitload of effort in...which is good.

That looks really cool Trasher. I think that idea has come into everybody's head at some point, but you're the only one to make a decent attempt at it AFAIK. I look forward to seeing more.

I think it should be possible to import LTTP music too. Pretty sure they both use N-SPC. (Well, SMW doesn't exactly, but it does if you apply the SMB3 music patch.)

I seem to remember reading Solar Soundtrack will support certain games as well as SMW. And if memery serves still, LTTP was indeed on that list.
