Yep, Risonic. I have no idea when how long it will take to finish but I've made a significant amount of frames already. Then I need to sit and think about the backgrounds. Sonic games have a whole bunch of terrain deformations (like curves and loops and such) and I'll eventually be able to just make my own (or just use Sonic 3s or some such).

You guys must be curious, so here's a (now outdated) sprite sheet of most of what I've done so far. Keep in mind, these are pretty much sprite edits of Sonic 3 sonic, but a good deal of the head and chest are reconstructed since Risonic has a pretty differently shaped skull and what not. I'm also using a full 15 colors instead of Sonics original like... 10 or so. That might come to bite me in the ass later but we'll see. The one original animation is sort of standing off towards the right, where he's flying. I need to make many more original animations for flying, holding things (not with elastic hands of doom like Ristar, but I do plan on giving Sonic a need to use his hands much more often)

Here's a small update just to let you know that the CV hack is still alive. I just made a new painting of Olrox that is going to be in level 1. (It's in level 2 in the screen because it was the easiest level to test on)

That's pretty cool too Dr. Mario, muy bueno.

hey I like those graphics, I'm still finding new things with this game everyday.
I'll share with you some hex value positions that will help you, and lift some restrictions (such as pallete sharing and the mirrored ladder)

28FC - this is where the graphic adresses and pallete values are for most of the items.

Let me know if you need help with other things you have idea's with.

Gary's Nuts FTW!

I figured I'd show off a little bonus screenie...

When this hack is released, this is the level that people will scream at their monitor in frustration. Finding the 4 keys in the "elements" may sound easy....but there is a little twist past the locked stakes (is the the level's end...?)

Alright, I admit, it's not that hard. You may die a few times, but meh...that's about it. I can still say it's worth playing though

Here's a couple of screenies of Rocky Range, the world I'm working on now on SMW Hack.

Part of Rock-A-Way Isle (fork from Grainy Plains to Rocky Range)

I've changed Blargg's to Fire Nepenuts. Also, even though the fire looks gray, I've changed it.

Part of Rocky Oil Line, the level is short that's why the time is low too.

I made tons of changes to this hack, some new enemies, and a true ending.

They look nice, nintendude, I'd like to see some more variation on the background in the second screenshot, though. I thought the first screenshot was smb3 for a second, not too sure why

These are from my new hack, SMW Deja Vu:

The first pipe entrance.

Going up?

Coins galore!

Convoluted, eh?

Bouncy, bouncy.

POW Staircases.

I'm really happy how this entire level came out. Play it and see!

Overhauled Top Secret Area. Note: the 1-Up checkpoints don't work for some reason.

Very cool, Dirtbag. I noticed you have been working on the AI for Super Mario Kart recently. It being made common and public knowledge might push more people to start hacking SMK. I personally wanted to hack it myself, but the AI issue discouraged me from doing so.

New Entrance level after the title screen.

Choose your save.

That button again..

It's the final home for it, so it might be more obvious what it's for now.

Added the 7th Chaos Emerald.

Act 4 results screen, with added "Save Bonus" for finding the save post in the act.

Day/Evening/Night/Morning cycle.

Excellent work Hapi-San, you're one of the many hackers I like to see updates from, because I never know what to expect from ya.

I love all the thing's you're comming up with, and those pallets for the day cycle look quite nice.

as for everyone else, keep up the good work, maybe I'll actually post something from a hack of mine in the near future. I look forward to seeing stuff from everybody.

Let's see... game's I've been working in/around
Sonic 2
Super Mario Bros. 2
Super Mario Bros. 3
Metroid (slightly)
MegaMan
Pokemon
and many just random graphics for NES styles mainly, I need to get to work and focus more on my Pokemon and MegaMan hacks, since they are the 2 I see most potential in, though I also have enjoyed working on my Super Mario Bros. 2 hack... I'm just doing graphics for it at the moment.

Eh... expect to see something from me sometime.

Fuck, Hapi-San, that is pretty awesome. I really like the entrance level - the palette choices look very good. The saving is a great idea too.

I still can't figure out what that button does, unless I missed something

the saving sequence reminds me of knuckle's Chaotix, or sonic advance 3, very nice I have to ask what's going on with sonic's pallete in those screenshots? it's different in almost everyone (I guess from exporting them to GIFs?)
