Is that a turd on the track? XD

Pretty sure it's called LZ77, not LZSS. Unless this is some other format I haven't heard of.

I've just been working on some gfx improvement for Zelda 1 ; just for the fun now, but it might end up being my next hack(with a brand new story and levels, etc.)

I didn't draw everything from scratch but rather edited gfx from various sources to make it fancy in a NES game. Link's palette will be fixed too.

Here's a pic of Luigi's Crazy Castle...

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

It's only the first level, I'm still gettin familiar with this Carrot editor.

edit - I made a better level, this is coming along pretty good.

In regards to the Zelda 1 graphics editing, it looks very well done. Link's palette it screwey, but thats about it. Nice work.

Now, as most of you know, my YI hack is *soon* going to be released for a demo. Here are some final screenshots before the upcoming demo - including world 1-1 to 2-8!

Here's a couple shots of 2-8: Summit Floral Fortress

Comment: Tons of obstacles in the mountaintop castle!

Comment: Hitting that switch will do you no good.........

This demo will include a new 2-8 boss (well, the same, but you have to beat him much differently) I hope you guys are looking forward to it

A new way to beat the 2-8 boss? Sounds interesting, SoNotNormal. I assume that means it'll actually have a difficulty to it now.

Also, NEONswift, those graphics look cool. Espcially the trees. The misplaced grass-sand boarder in your latest screenshot needs to be fixed though, but I think you already knew that.

Couple more screenshots from my megaman 3 remix hack.
Total % complete: About 40%
Current Stage Working on: Doc Robot Needleman/Dark Needleman

- Beginning of regular needleman stage. Since the gameboy version has 4 MM4 stages...i've finished 3 of my improved remakes of them. (hopefully they'll be good) ..but enemies are pretty limited...if i could...i would implement MM4 enemies to 3.

Since I've virtually never seen anyone hack megaman 6 before ...I HAD to find some type of good replacement for the dark needleman stage for a good/decent underwater theme. There's none in this screenshot, but I will eventually get to that later because I only have a few screens finished of this stage.
I don't think I'll be able to get in the giant metool enemy though unless I know how to do CHR-Swapping during levels. And I'm not sure.
Anyway ...don't forget to bring your weapons in this tight corner.

I also have the hardman stage just about finished ...no screenshots just yet, sorry.

Also I've made alot of little ASM hacks too here and there with various other areas of the game involving the way the menu screen functions, password/gameover ...and I've fixed ...on my own ...almost every known programming error that's originally in the Megaman3 ROM ..you no longer can do the famous rush jet/rush marine glitch ..can't do controller 2 secrets...the little annoying line above the shadowman image on stage select no longer is there, etc.

Ah, man these are good Megaman 3 screenshots. More like Megaman 3 is a combined Megaman 4 game .

Did you really need to quote his whole post to say that ? I truly wonder about you.

Also, how come you didn't comment the fact you've been busted with that Game Boy Pikachu hack you claimed as yours ?
