Wait, your translating it as well?

You sir, rule. I have wanted to play Famicom Wars, but I couldn't find a translated version that worked for me.

Can't wait to see it!

setz, that Castlevania level looks awesome... though is that the level design?

I guessed there was a connection, but I never played Advance Wars either and thus don't know anything about it.

I'm not sure I understood that question? It's just going with the level layout from the second level, pretty much. I don't know how to change all that, and really just want to focus on graphics.

Ok here ya go.
By the way with the stones I was trying to go for the effect of them being deep in the ground so they'd look like a challenge to pick them up....That and make them look like something besides an 8-ball.

I like what your going for. It would be neat if it had more detail on the top, but tough to keep it in suit with the alttp sprite style i'd imagine.

Here's 4-4, the Crumbling Aquatic Palace, in YIKR. I have introduced the NEW bent log-on-lava to provide even more hell for you Good luck keeping your balance.

Ain't it gorgeous?

And that's some high-action in that screenie

Comments anyone?

All I have to say SNN is that log on lava is going to be a bitch when I finally get to play it. Not only do you have to keep your balance but trying to avoid the Lava Bubbles and the Piranha Plant just make things tougher.

Actually....I kinda lied It's not really a new sprite, it's kind of an old sprite I modified. I played the first bit, and it's pretty easy to dodge all the enemies. You can trust me on that

Now that I think about it, it's possible to just hover over the lava and the log.

Am I supposed to take this as a compliment?

I am still wondering *how* I got this to look so much like Fusion graphics without even looking at them in the first place. Still need ideas on a background. Any of you have any? Should I make it "inspired from" Fusion? Not ripping or modifying, just taking the principle of it and just remaking the GFX similar to it?

To be fair, Fusion mainly just has the whole brown + rocky thing going on, so it's not so hard to get things similar to it. The background in it's pretty good in that game in my opinion; doing something somewhat similar to it probably wouldn't hurt too much.

Here's a sprite sample taken from my current NES hack in progress.
It's a brawler game based off of a very good anime series.

Ranma 1/2, obviously. Don't you have too many projects at a time ?

*DING* *DING* *DING* your the prize winner.

I have 3 current projects, here are their status.

Super Dr. Mario:
* Most graphics are done
* This was before I knew how to change colors so that still needs to be done.
* it would take a more advanced knowledge of ASM to make Kid Kool not suck.
* Put on major suck delay.

Donkey Kong 2:
* All graphics & colors are done.(already released as a patch)
* All Music and SFX data is found, just trying to decide what to put there.
* 25 out of 50 levels are changed into custom levels, I'm just taking a break cause it's so much work getting them to fit in the space alotted.
* Put on short delay incase of an ASM epiphany dawns that would allow me to expand the rom, allowing me to make the larger levels that I want.

Ranma 1/2 (unknown title)
* more than half way done with Genma. Other playable characters will be Boy-type Ranma and Girl-type Ranma.
* The baddies I plan to feature are Ryoga, Shampoo, Ukyo, Tatewaki Kuno, Kodachi Kuno, Principal Kuno, Happy, & Cologne.

So what game are you using as the base for your Ranma 1/2 hack anyway? Going by the approximate size of the above sprite, and by there being two other playable characters, I'd guess Mighty Final Fight.
