If you want the start point to be conected to different areas, ok then, I'll edit 104 to have a normal and secret way leading to new places.

Level 104 is the Switch Sanctuary. It's under construction, and won't be part of world 1. It's supposed to hold all of the switch palaces, but now that I'm seeing how the overworld works, I may have to work around that.

yes, there will be a 'winter world' at the very north east of the main OW map...

Now how many worlds should there be? (done 3 of them)

Oh ya, still have to do the events and such , I'll show u how it looks after that is done.

As many as there were in the original. In Special World, I'll have each staff member make their own level. I'll make all of the levels that include custom bosses, as well as the final level and the last Special World level.

Also, for everyone who wants to know, you'll all get a chance to edit this hack when we get started on World 2.

hmmm... special world?

Well, I will still have 2 maps left over...

Unfortunatly, I have 9 worlds so far (including bowser castle)

maybe world 3, 6 and special world will be 'bossed' by reznors...

heres the world rundown:

1) Grassland
2) Water/ocean
3) Bridge
4) Under ground
5) Ice/winter
6) Forest
7) Pipe
8) Sky
(After beating the sky world, you will be sent back to world 1)
9) (after hitting all the switches) Bowser
10) (maybe a secret way out of bowsers castle leads here) Special world.

hrm... I gotta watch myself, I might go over 120 exits... we wouldn't want that

Thanks for the update. I'm creating a log for my progress and plans, so the mentioning of the world order will help me add information to the log. As soon as World 1 is fully completed, I'll make the game demo and log viewable.

EDIT: I just saw your pictures. All I have to say is... woah. That overworld is extremely well made. World 7 looks just plain awesome. You, sir, are staying as overworld editor!

hmm

2-1 can be some ghost house level instead, shifting everything over one.

world 2's OW consists of: (Yellow=1 way out, red= 2 [duh])

1) yellow Ghost house
2) yellow water level
3) red water level in witch one way leads to lv 3, one way leads back up to castle 1
4) yellow ghost ship level
5) red level in witch one way leads back up to lv 3
6) red level in witch one way leads back up to lv 2
7) Castle #2 (Morton)(Hmm, ever realize 'Morton's name spells his potential w/out the 't'?)

I made world 2 to be some ocean level in witch mario gets lost at sea alot sending him backwards through the secret exit. (so you pretty much DON'T want the key/keyhole unless ur going for a perfect exit score)

then after the castle, mario heads west to a big bridge.
hmm, I'll make a log of my own typing out levels and where they head if red/yellow

note to self, punch blu in the face for creating such short world one levels with FEATHERS in them...

EDIT2: I have decided. I would like to be co-director and a level editor. In the game the levels (other than switch palaces) will be ordered from 1-FFF
The game shall be completly revamped so each level Shall have 1 message box at the intro that says who made it and prehaps a hint to where a secret exit is and each level will be brand new. BW and I shall try to order the levels by dificulty and the type of level so we know where to put it (the world, the level in the world, ect.)

Everyone please just create a new smw hack and starting from lv 001 make your levels from any type to any size. when you have leaked out your brainz into all the leves you have made, E-mail the created levels to either me or Blue Warrior.

one or both of us will organize the levels into the hack and I will change the OW levels to match the order, then the hack will be complete and ready for posting.

Wow, those OWs look nice and neat. good job
I just looked at the log, I have nothing against me being in the block editor thing, I just want to make sure that you know that I only know how to insert the existing blocks on blocktool. I don't know how to create my own blocks or anything so I insist that Xeruss will be the main block editor and I can maybe help him along the way. As for the graphics, I can insert ExGFX but I can't rip my own properly yet as I am still learning. All I need is the .bin file and the two map16 pages and I can insert them.
So the bottem line is, level editing is my main thing. I will help out with graphics and blocks if help is needed. Is this cool?

Sorry. I'm just trying to give World 1 the standard World 1 difficulty. If you want, you can get rid of the feathers.

Also, you're in for those spots. I'm going to edit the M&L:TGE log for the purpose of updated information.

How about u and me make the castle levels BW? That'll keep everyone from making castle levels ... and thusly make the castle a standard difficulty.

Oh yes, I've completed up til world 4 for all the events, so I'm about half way done the entire OW, if its a snow day again tomorrow, heheh, I'll be done the OW and a few castles...

I call Bowsers castle as I have the gfx and palletes to do so

hmm...

I'll do the following castles:

Bowsers (world 9),
Ice (world 5),
Forest (world 6),
Sky (world 8).

As for the current OW, this is what i have so far (red levels will have where it shall go if the secret way is used beside the comma[,]):

Yoshi's house with a 1-way out leading to world 9, can only be accesed after all 4 switches are pressed

1-2: red, leading to red switch
1-3: yellow
1-4: Iggy Koopa

WORLD 2:
2-1: Yellow GH(ghost house)
2-2: yellow water
2-3: red water, leads back up to 1-4
2-4: yellow sunkin ghost ship level
2-5: red water, leads back up to 2-3
2-6: red water, leads back up to 2-2
2-7: Morton Koopa

WORLD 3:
3-1: red, leads up to 3-A
3-2: yellow
3-3: yellow GH
3-4: red, leads to yellow switch
3-5: yellow

3-A: yellow water, leads to 3-5

Holy crap dude, you are doing a hell of a lot of work. I'm impressed! You should consider being BW's co-director too. I haven't started yet since I have alot of college work to do but I can't wait to get back into the hacking scene and work on this hack.
Oh and eh, when do I get the ips patch. I'd like to check out the patch

Anyway, I was planning on having all of the switch palaces in one specific area, preferably before Bowser's castle. I'm guessing a star would lead to it, and after that star would be the intro level to Bowser's castle.

Nah, the secret exits in the red levels leading to the switches will be uber hard to find... Maybe I'll have the blue switch after a secret exit from a ghost house...

Anyway, There is still one completly UNUSED submap... whatcha want be to do with that? (maybe a uber secret way out of Yoshies house will lead to a star wich will lead to BW world , or maybe my floating castle, or maybe...)

How about it leads to that twilight place from PM2 where Doopliss is the extra boss?

I was wondering the same thing actually... everyone will try to do the entire hack themselves, each hack will be overflowing with levels, the LM folder will be over flowing with peoples hacks...

IMPORTANT:

Everyone start up a new SMW hack and start creating levels from the level 001 and make as many as you want. A select few, or many (determined by how good it is) of the hacker's levels will be put into the MAIN hack, and it will sooner or later be finished...

...

I think you'll have to do that part BW, My LM folder is already over flowing with gfx and different hacks... one click of the 'insert gfx into rom' button will throw off the level gfx... >.>

Or maybe I could make a new LM folder else where on my pc...
