Not good.

I never said that. I did say that I had to run a few tests. What I meant by that is that I have to chech out how ips patching functions. When I complete World One, I will try putting in two ips patches on a clean rom. They will both contain different editted information, and if things work, that will tell me that I can give everyone the ips patch at the same time. If it doesn't work, then I have to give the ips patch to one person, then he/she has to edit it and give it to someone else in the staff.

If you want, you're in. When I'm fully done with World 1, I'll have you and the other level editors do levels of World 2. I'm unsure what this world will be like, but when I figure it out, I'll tell you what the levels should be like, and give everyone a piece of artwork on what it'll look like.

Also, I finally know what story I'm going to have:

EDIT: Changed unreccomended parts.

It was a day like any other in the Mushroom Kingdom. Bowser kidnapped Peach, and Mario followed and thwarted him (again). Bowser had his minions clean up his bruises afterwards, and he went to his faraway castle of Koopas, humiliated.
However, history repeats itself. King Bowser, normally being the stubborn, firebreathing turtle, had plotted another way to capture Peach and simultaneously kill the Mario brothers. Oddly, though, he planned wiser than usual. He hired innocent-looking minions to build large factories and fortresses that outranked even Bowser's old work. Everyone was sure this was for good deeds; they had no idea Bowser was behind this. His minions even convinced the Toads to make a sanctuary for the palace switches and hide it safely in a secret level. Since there was no way to get to Bowser's new castle without switch blocks, this made it difficult for any intruders to even get to the entrance.
The next step to Bowser's plan was to capture all of the Yoshis that Mario could get to in reach. The citizens of the Mushroom Kingdom had become suspicious of foul play, and sent investigators to most of the homelands of the Yoshis. Scarcely an eggshell could be spotted. The new buildings still remained unspotted of evil.
Meanwhile, Bowser locked up most of the Yoshis he captured in boxes - for the chance of rebellion - and kept some of the Yoshis hostage to make a breed of his own evil kind.
The last step was to capture Peach. Once all the Toad employees knew he did so and that the buildings and shrines were traitorous, Bowser's minions defeated them all. Now all he had to do was lead Mario into doom, and the world would finally be his.
Although Mario worries that this may be Bowser's greatest plan yet, he can't help but think that Bowser didn't think all of this up himself, even with the help of Kammy Koopa or the Koopa Kids. He then concludes that some intelligent being must be helping him plan out strategies for his world domination. If he could somehow get rid of this villainous sidekick, his greatest threat in this dangerous mission would be over.
Thus, with Luigi and a bottle of hope at his side, he sets out on this treacherous exodus to defeat Bowser and his wise sidekick, rid the factories and shrines of evil, rescue Peach and the hostages, and save the world from utter chaos.

So, based on this story, what do you think the game should be called?

The story is alright. You should make the story more....Mario like. I'm not saying it isn't, it's just that there are a few words and actions in it that just does'nt suit a Mario game, for example: Mario calling Bowser a farthead, the quote "every friggin' month", Bowser killing yoshis. It just isn't Mario. Although, the actual story sounds very good

As for names, I ain't good at these kinda things but I'll make a suggestion anyway. How about: "Mario's Exodus" or "Super Mario Bros: Exodus".

Yeah, I dunno what made me think that up. =P Anyway, I'll change the unreccomend parts in a more Mario way.

Also, I've completed all the World 1 levels of this game and I'll send the staff an ips patch when ready.
As for the name, "Mario's Exodus" sounds like a good name. But how about I remix the name into "Mario and Luigi: The Great Exodus"?

Why try to merge IPSes? LM has file import/export for just about everything it can edit.

What about the overworld, editted block actions, and the editted sprites? I don't remember those having ex/imports.

Also, the tests I mentioned earlier didn't work. So, starting when World 2 has begun construction, I'll give one person the ips patch, then he'll give it to the next. Level designers, you can just work on the levels and save them on separate files, then email them to me.

Unless I misunderstood your previous post, I agreed that you can be a level designer. If you are asking for something more specific, I mean that you can make some of the layouts of levels.

...so, how many exits are there?

Undecided. I'm currently working on World 1(?), so all I know is that World 1 will have a large Koopa Factory in the middle of it. You may as well make sketches of it for now, as I have to make sure the levels get done first.
Otherwise, you're in![/url]

yay! (sorry i havnt been on alot)

hrm... is w1 a sub map? if so, how does mario exit the submap? (n/e/w/s bridge or pipe?

or maybe... you could tell me how many levels r in ur world 1 and I'll revamp the OW into a big mondo cool ... thing...

Also i remembered how exactly to gaph paper the OW's (32x32 on graph paper, each box is a level/path tile, a quarter of the box is a land/water tile ) so I'm ready for anything u throw at me!

hmm... let me guess... Cackeletta, the shadow queen, Doopliss or you are the final boss (ooh ooh let it be doopliss, hes smart, just... slow in the head a lil) or maybe its O.O the shadow sisters AND doopliss!

All the levels are done, and I need your email address so I can send you the ips patch to edit. Here's the information about World One:

Map and exits: I don't mind if it's a submap or not. As long as it kind of looks like Grassland from SMB3. Mario will exit either by bridge or by simply walking out.

Levels
1-1: Awkward plains, Level 103. Just a normal pathway.
1-2: Koopa Factory 1, Level 105. You'll have to do some graphic editting to make it look like the left end of a three-part pipe factory.
1-3: Koopa Factory 2, Level 106. The middle of the pipe factory.
1-4: Iggy's end, Level 101. The right end of the factory.

Graphics: It's basicly a medium-sized plain with an ocean at the left edge. A factory twice the size of Bowser's castle is in the middle of it. The rest is pretty much hills and other natural environment.

hrm... I'm not much of gfx editor... and if you want w1 to look like w1 from smb3... it wont really well... work

I'll do what i can, but I'm not promacing anything except a kick-@$$ OW... maybe not 100% the way you'd like... but I'm posably the best OW maker around... w/out using too many gfx changes that is...

or do you mean GFX like smb3? hmm... I could replace the parhana gfx with the wiggling hill...

BTW, my email is in my profile now.

That was the whole point of the post . But even the breakfast eggs thing is merely a variation on the typical story (just replace "Yoshi Eggs" with "Breakfast Eggs")

No, that's not what I meant. I meant it just had to have the feel of Grassland. Y'know, rolling plains, rivers, that kind of stuff. No new gfx is needed. You can put in dancing hills or boogying flowers, but you don't need to.

BTW, my email is in my profile now.
Good. I'll send you the patch right away.

kk i got the ips.

And ok, thats what u ment by grassland... then y did u say smb3 instead of plainly that?

...meh

Let me test out ur levels and see ur current ow

EDIT: No ow change? ok, I have one I've been working on with the same # of exits as ur w1

w2 is a water world, world 3 is a huge bridge world and world 4 is a under ground world, world 5 is an ice world...

haven't made the ice world OW yet tho, working on that.

EDIT 2: Why is your lv 104 all... switch blocks and grey blocks? looks wierd...

If you want the start point to be conected to different areas, ok then, I'll edit 104 to have a normal and secret way leading to new places.
