| I bought a new Mid-ATX case that came with a 450W power supply yesterday. However, when I put my old ATX motherboard in and connected the 20+4 pin power supply connector to the board, none of the fans on the motherboard turns on.
To rule out stupidity, I've connected the power switch line from the case both ways on my motherboard and have tried the original power supply that was used with the motherboard (i.e. the motherboard is not dead) So, my question is: The case box says it is prescott ready. Does this mean the power supply will only work with a new Intel-powered motherboard? |

| Well, every power supply is compatible with every kind of chipset, AFAIK. You may forgot to connect a pin or didn't connected them right? Check your cables, if they're okay. If nothing helps, go back to the store you got it from and ask for help or give it back, if you still have warranty on it. |
