Has anyone played this? It just came out for Gamecube.
My brother got it because he's a spoiled Sonic fan. I just tried it out, and boy does it piss me off. It seems like the controls and general gameplay is even worse than Sonic Adventure.
What happened with this series? Why is Shadow using guns to shoot at people? Remember when the setting was on Mobius or a floating island or something impossible like that, with their own animals who were cool because they kicked ass, not because they did "cool" poses, and how it the game went on a good, fast pace, and there was creativity and omg the controls didn't suck ass? Remember the good ol' Sonic days? Anyone?

That's good, because it looked halfway decent and I almost considered getting it for the PS2. Guess now I can focus on TSS or DQ8 (first is priority).

Meh, if I get a sonic game for Christmas it's probably be one of thoose collections. I hadn't heard that much good stuff about the newer Sonic games.

Althought for a second I though I was reading a DJ entry there YD. XD

Besides, I hadn't seen much of the game... but there is something with the cool attiutide of Shadow that leaves a unimpressed feeling on me. :/

Absolutely not. Unless you're a fan of the Game Gear games for some reason. Most everything on there is lame and a waste of time, especially compared to the awesome of Sonic Mega Collection.

Sonic Adventure Battle 2 is okay as far as a regular game goes (it doesn't compare to the oldschool Sonic), so if you must try a newer Sonic game, this is my recommendation.

And if you want the Game Gear games... Sonic Adventure DX Director's Cut. At least you get a decent game out of the deal.

As for Shadow... I think Sega's programmers finally discovered acid.

The Sonic Advance games aren't that bad.

However, Sonic Rush for the DS is apparently quite good.

When I saw the thread title, I was expecting something else. I was expected NOT to reply, in doing great justic and trying to not hurt your feelings YD.

But HEY, good thing the game sucks.

I thought the idea was horrible. The gameplay looks dumb. Guns? In a Sonic game? Since when was Shadow cool? The Adventure games failed compared to the original series.

So yeah, the newer Sonic's don't interest me. The first Adventure wasn't horrible, but nothing fantastic.

I remember Sega took out Streets of Rage 1-3 from Soinc Gems to make it not be Teen.

But, we can have guns?

Saw a shot of the box with the big E on it.

I'm trying to figure out how they could justify that aside from Sega convincing them it was a Sonic game. :\ Probably has "Animated Violence" on the back.

Decent.. well, apart from the fact that everything but Sonic and Tails' stages (and that stupid Casino stage) sucks ass, it's okay-ish.

But dammit, Sonic Adventure 2 is the only non-Genesis, non-Sonic CD Sonic game that's actually GOOD. And even that game has issues when it comes to actually controlling the critters.

Shadow the Hedgehog? Sonic with guns? Not even touching that one.

I stopped buying Sonic games at Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine.

Yep, that and Sonic 3D Blast.

As for the whole gun concept. Yeah, what next? Mario with a knife in a new game titled "Mario: Da Hood" ?

Ahem, people doesn't seems to understand why Shadow has a gun now. You see, they once complained that he was pretty much a Sonic clone so Sega changed him by giving him you-know-what.
