This is because FuSoYa used a custom Koopa Troopa (with the Santa Hat), and part of it's hat overwrote a blank 8x8 tile, which is used to the left of the 10 points tile, when Mario collects 10 points. And what gives Mario 10 points? Collecting a coin from a ? Block. But I want to find another way around having a piece of a hat appearing in the air (yes, i'm using his koopa troopas) after Mario hits a ? Block rather than just not using coin-?-blocks at all. I'm assuming it's as easy as just changing one byte in hex to move the tile, but I don't know which one, so can anybody help?

EDIT: Just to clarify, it's the blank 10- point tile i want to move, not the koopa troopa head.

That's cool, I was going to try to do the same thing, but I realized he did something special with the way the sprite was read. Good luck and when you find what to change, please let me know!

I found that out the hard way...I tried using the full tile of the head, and the coin blocks got messed up But now, the only problem is when I play, both of the tiles get flipped upside down, and I can't change it...

I have DW:TLC's map16 info, and I never saw that.
Was that in the "objects" section or "sprites" section?

It's in the sprites section...or what do you mean? It's in graphics file 01... I don't think I understand what your asking.

I guess it doesn't really matter, and it doesn't look like I'm gonna get an answer anyway, so... _¬

$12F4D-$12F50 are the blank tiles for the 10, 20, 40, and 80 point sprites. Provided you haven't changed the water splash graphic, you can use tile #69 instead, which is also blank.
