Well it is really a makeshift Famicom cartridge connector my next goal with this "toy" is to figure out a way to add on support for an actual controller. If I can disable built in controlls and make my own circuit to an original controll port...a pseudo-portable Famicom, anyone? ^^;

Yeah, mine has the port too. It isn't even covered up or anything. I thought I saw someone pointing out that it could but the people selling it didn't know or didn't want to believe it.

Those were in old NES games, Yoro. Basically they needed to manufacture a lot of games for the NES launch so to save time, they used Famicom converters and put them in games that were to be released in North America.

If your cart seems heavier than most, then odds are the converter's in it and can be taken out if you're in need of it.

Mmmhm! They were in alot of games, actualy. I don't remember all of them, as I've always used Gyromite for my connector needs (I'm not kidding, I bought at least 5 Gyromite games for about 12 dollars at this one yard sale years ago just for that )

How much it's worth depends who you sell it to. The local secondhand stores want $60 for one with no games, controllers, or in some cases even cords... but I picked up one still in the box with all original wrapping for $20 out of town.
