O.K. when I open Mario World Reconfiguratior, it just says this:
"Component 'Comdlg32.ocx' or one of it's depentencies not correctly regestered: a file is missing or invalad" if it's any help, I have windows XP and the mario stuff is in a hidden folder |

You need to download the Visual Basic 6 runtimes. Google can help you with this.

i got my computer recently, and I think visual basic runtime 7 is already installed or something. Im allso worried that if I install 6, it will override 7

There is no VB7. You got a release versino 7 of the runtime pack for version 6 of VB. You can overwrite it as many times as you like.

Originally posted by Ed The Robot I don't really know about visual basic, but I higly doubt that would happen, if you pop a windows 95 disk in an XP computer, it dosen't automatically degrade your computer. All you have to do is google the exact name of the missing file and download it, its not saying "download visual basic 6 or this won't work" |

Yes, you simply need to find the file and put it in your Windows directory. (Tip: Look here. )

Download the VB6 runtimes and run it. Copy the Comdlg32.ocx in your Windows/system32 directory.

Yeah, and VB runtimes don't overwrite each other.
If that doesn't help, try running "regsvr32 /i comdlg32.ocx" or just "regsvr32 comdlg32.ocx". Sometimes, that works. |
