....is now coming out in June. Just saw the new date in the computer today.

Should it just come out on the next-gen Nintendo system (like Kameo did for the Mircosoft system?) or should it stay true to the GC?

It should stay on GC. I may only be saying that because I already have one and dont want to wait and buy a new system before I can play it. Wouldnt they have to delay it even further for the "Revolution" so they could change the format and enhance the graphics and everything?

It's better that it comes out for the GC. Even though I can't wait for the revolution.. and I'm buying it no matter what.

The Twilight Princess looks somewhat like OOC, with FAR BETTER graphics. I can't wait for this one... OOC was amazing. Wow, nothing can compare. (Except Link to the Past).

Oh nos! She meant Ocarina of Cime! =P

I saw this argument between two people at some board or another, and each was for which system the game was going out on. One guy said that it should appeal to the GC faithful / oldschool audience and therefore stay on it, so as not to disappoint them. As a final bang, sorta like Mario RPG was for the SNES. But the other guy said it would be a great thing to work with the Revolution controller, and looked at the entire situation from a money POV. And in all truth, it really would increase the sales of Revolution.

Neither seemed to pleased with the idea of it being released on both systems, as it were. =P

Well, with the latter, I have something to add. Almost all my friends are Cubeless, but they all want to play Twilight Princess. They all plan to buy a "Revolution" to play it on there, since the "Rev" will have reverse compatibility.

The rumor is that it'll still come out for the GC but be compatible with the Rev controller when the system's released.

If it's coming out in June now... that's likely going to be close to the Revolution launch date. You know, as long as Nintendo doesn't try to go toe-to-toe with Sony.

Gah. I really hope it's a GameCube game. I preordered it under that assumption, and I'll be chafed if I have to go buy another console just for it.

Granted, I'd be getting a Revolution anyways... but Nintendo wouldn't be silly enough to release both a new Mario AND a new Zelda at launch.

...At least, I hope.

Could be worse. Starcraft Ghost anyone? XD

I was actuakky thinking about getting a GC for this game, but now I'm not sure anymore. Waiting so long for a game, kinda takes the edge off.

Oh, if I wanted Starcraft Ghost, I'd be pretty pissed given the fact the GameCube version was canned.

A great game (even if many people thought it looked finished last year at E3) is still a great game no matter when it comes out.

Yes, OoT. I'm an idiot.

Zelda games appeal the most to older gamers, in my opinion. So it's best that it comes out for the GC. That means we can all save up for the revolution in a timely fashion. Or, uh, that's what it means for me.

And all the while working for the local cannibal Happy Mask Shop owner in the runnin for mayor of Hyrule, and a serious bow and arrow fight at the Lon Lon Stripper's Club. But wait, let's not forget starting the gang war between "Da Zoras" and "Gorons from da North Side"!

I'm just interested in how the whole wolf-control system is going to work with this. Is it going to be a revolution *cough* in gameplay, or will it have people wishing for the old controls only?

Granted I read that the revolution is supposed to be Compatible with GC/N64 controllers there shouldn't be any problems. Unless of course that article was completely fraudulent.

Yea that myth was totally busted. Great show, btw.

The game should TOTALLY stay on GC. It'd be a nice last hurrah for the system. Although it's definitely not ending there.
