Every so often, when I don't move my hand, my thumb will begin to twitch uncontrollably, you may not all be able to relate to this, but it's the same feeling you get when you touch an electric fence, just without the pain. I'm to young for Parkinson’s, and it's beginning to creep me out. I can however seem to stop the twitch if I begin to put some minor strain on my thumb, and if it holds any relevance, I crack my knuckles. Can someone please tell me what's wrong?

You may have a minor form of epilepsy If it's just your hand then I wouldn't worry too much about it

It's just your claws growing. It will disappear as you get older.
Just... talk with a doctor if it really concerns you. |

Muscle spasms, I expect. I get them in my arms or legs every once in a while.

I often get them in my legs when I´m in school. The right or left leg starts to vibrate up and down.
I often don´t even notice that they do that until someone tells me. |

I think that is so your muscles don't shrink to much and is just a natural body defence .

If I'm sitting still, usually my head will just jerk in one direction all of a sudden.
Maybe your thumb does that for the same reason... |

It's not that crazy for a muscle to spasm. Especially in your hand, they're constantly in motion.

Definately muscle spasms....
It could just be like, how if you are sitting down and have your ankle at the right angle, your leg begins to twitch... But with your thumb... |

Yeah, I'm going to agree with the muscle spasm thing.
If it happens a lot, and is disrupting your ability to do things normally, then it would be worth discussing it with a doctor. They would be able to tell you if it's something serious or not and if necessary recommend you to see a physiotherapist of whatever to fix or reduce the problem. Other than that, make sure you're stretching, drinking plenty of water, etc, and all the other stuff that makes muscles happy |

A "temporary physiological disorder, causing muscle spasms, often triggered by lack of sleep" I have been staying up till about 1:00 lately, so you can quit your theories about demonic possession, and thumb hacking... |
