Okay. I've been doing sprite comics for getting close to three years now. And in that time I've managed to 'publish' almost 1000 comics.
Unfortunately, due to that "life" thing, I haven't been able to get much work done in that department (effectively robbing me of my 1000-comic glory in the process >.o)
So all my comics are on hold, the website has been torn down for rennovations, and.. yeah.

But, I figured it wouldn't hurt to throw around a few of my personal favorites, see what people here think.

And thus..
(please note that while the website itself is down, all the images remain. You can browse through them by changing the filenames in the address bar of your browser)

Between J and L

JL was the first comic I started, and I didn't start it very well. At the beginning it was, at the best, a fourth-rate Bob and George fancomic.
But, as things went on, my skills improved, and now it's looking pretty darn good, if I do say so myself.

#34 - On the Line
Considering the fact that I'd been spriting for less than a month when I did this, I think the assorted phones turned out pretty well.

#77 - The most obvious joke ever
Some of you may be wondering why Megaman is wearing a dress. It was a cheap joke at the end of an even cheaper first chapter, but I didn't have any other plotlike ideas, so I decided to roll with it.

#105 - Welcome Home
You know you've always wanted to do that.

#135 - Female Turbulance
That's one of my favorite lines.

#174 - Temporal Paradox 8
I did a whole series of the Temporal Paradox gags. The ones with Blues are the best.

#257 - Desperation Attack
This is widely considered to be one of my best comics.

#278 - Heaven and Earth
Jam's destroy move

#291 - Problem
Yes. I used the language barrier as an excuse and completely ignored it, both at the same time.

#417 - Bugzapper
This is a personal favorite, just for the way the effects turned out. And also because yellow on black = win.

#427 - Skybreaker Sword
ninja

Thoughts in Chaos

TiC is probably my personal favorite of my own comics, just because it doesn't really have any logic behind it.
Half of it is the nonsensical adventures of a group of sorta-main characters, and the other half is just whatever pops into my head when I'm spriting.

And when it comes down to it, that's really what making a comic is all about.

#30 - And it's so cute!
Buster absolutely hates me for making his hair lavender. But I like lavender. Hence the name 'Lavender Jade Comics'.

#55 - Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse
Megaman eventually got rid of his dress in JL, but there was still so much more fun to be had with it, so I introduced Dressman in TiC.

#96 - Roll the Teenager
Name the song! NAME IT! Google is cheating!

#185 - You and what sidekick?
I still think that sign turned out way better than anyone could have ever expected.

#190 - In the immortal words of Rupert Giles, "Oh dear"
Okay, all self-insertion and Evil Author cliches aside, that is one DAMN cool text effect in the second panel. NOONE can deny this.

#237 - Girl Talk
For the benefit of those of you who may not be able to read Japanese, Trance is saying "Is that French? I don't understand at all.."

#256 - Mood Swings
Uhm. I made this one shortly after my mother told her she and dad would be seperating.
I only put it in here because those are some freaking AWESOME eyes in the second panel, and you should all congratulate me for them.
Plus there's a bird with a cow's head in the last panel.

#270 - Roll's Dilemma
You know it's true.

#282 - God I missed these guys
One of my favorite recurring interjections, the Three Philosphers. Zero, the skeptic; Iris, the believer; Megaman, the idiot.

#295 - Counter-incentive
Logic prevails again.

FILLER: The Comic

My hard drive crashed, and I lost most of my files. So, instead of continuing with my main comics, I started this 50-episode series.

#5 - The introduction of OMX and Rua
Omex is basically my #1 fan.
And yes, it's very weird, having a #1 fan.

#10 - Oblivious
I certainly do seem to mistreat my fans, don't I?

#32 - Interrupt
This is widely considered to be one of my best comics.

#35 - Megamon Battle
No comment.

#46 - You guessed it, it's a Buffy quote!
I have a vast array of Buffy quotes at my disposal. They pop up quite frequently in my comics.

FILLER: Reloaded

The basic story behind this one is that I had been spending a lot of time spriting things at random, but I didn't have much room for them in my existing comics, so I made a new one to put them in.

#9 - Hooray for extras!
For all the improvements I've made in my spriting, I still can't do a plaid skirt without making it look like polka-dots.

#13 - The introduction of Id and Ego
Brock's backstory is that a Rockman and Forte from another universe got sucked through a portal and merged.

#15 - Watering hole. Emphasis on hole.
The Dive looks pretty damn good for a background I hashed together from bits and pieces of different games.

#25 - Yuki Hsu would kill me for this
The first Ding should actually be a second Ling.
Its the little things like that that haunt me forever.

#30 - Faster than a speeding wizard
I stand by my statement that noone's going to get this one.
Yes, the Superman reference is obvious, but there is a reference within a reference here, and noone's going to get it.

Stargate: Absurdity

A simple Stargate parody.

#4 - Tech Support, how may I abuse you?
The nation's finest.
Makes me glad I'm Canadian.

#10 - Departure
Visually, this is one of my better comics. I put a lot of effort into it. So much so that I was even able to get it compressed to 256 colors without losing much quality.
I even have the chevrons lit up with the actual symbols of the gate address they're dialing.

#13 - The voice of reason oft goes ignored
In case noone gets this, the colonel tossed a coin, and they went whichever direction it veered towards. The fact that it rebounded off Brett's head is of little consequence.

#15 - The Death of Ran
Ran dies a lot.

#20 - You were expecting Fremen?
I have the disturbing feeling that that's actually a Power Rangers quote.

Mood Swings

Simple one-panel comics that I sometimes include with the rest of the update.
Note that most of them have transparencies that are meant for the page backgrounds, so they may not work overly well with your browser's standard background color (though of the samples I'm providing, that should only effect the first one)

How utterly random.

April 11th, 2004
This one is animated, so make sure you have animations enabled.

June 1st, 2004
This one is also animated, but lower-end browsers like IE will butcher the framerate.

November 1st, 2004
This one is also animated, but it's only 2 frames.

These are... mmm... Superb. Yummy to the point of too quickly eaten, yet superb.

It's hard for me to pin down why I like them, aside from, well, making me laugh. They make sense in a way that most sprite comics do not.

Well, it's a black mage, and the word black and the word superman remind me of the movie Remember The Titans. But that wouldn't make it funny. So whatev', tossing that out there.

Your Stargate parody is what really stands out to me (SG-1 is a great show, eeeeee). Great graphics, well-made jokes, and the readability of the words. I take it you've read Taco, the Comic, right? Of course you have, you have several fan-made characters from the Bob and George community.

Keep up the good work. 1000 comics is a purely glorious milestone (that I would never achieve).

I have similar thoughts to what Cymoro said. This is a rare find, as most sprite comics I see posted in modern art are usualy not of this calibur, if anything even close. Great job, and keep it up
