Edit: That means No.

Listening to music on drugs is certainly different. I don't think I'd have the same love of Akira Yamaoka's music if I hadn't first heard it on drugs.

But that doesn't make Tears of Pain a drug.

You can't get the absolutel FULL effect of Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon.. unless you've listened to it on drugs through blasting speakers in time with the Wizard of Oz.

That is the epitome of a musical/visual orgasm revelation.

durrrrr

we're talking about introducing new chemicals into your system. since everyone acknowledges that it is completely possible to become dependent on experiences (other than drugs), there's no reason to reclassify all of these experiences to also be drugs. We're getting confused about definitions, here. It's possible to form a dependence on all drugs (in general) - that does not mean anything you can form a dependence on is a drug.

It's possible. Think about it. It's addictive. So are drugs. The method people often use to aquire it is illegal. Same goes for drugs. It can alter your mind. Drugs do, too. Certain types of music can make you feel lightheaded. Drugs can do that as well. Music can make you feel irritated if it is at a certain frequency. Drugs can make you feel irritated you take it frequently. Music played at a certain frequency can break glass. Drugs can cause people who take them to break glass. CDs, which often hold music, can kill people if they are spun around fast enough so that they explode. Things which hold drugs (IE: a beer bottle) can kill people, too. Old people hate new music. Old people hate new drugs. There are five letters in music. There are five letters in drugs.

But this is where things get really scary. If we assign the letters of the alphabet a numeric value, in "A=1, B=2, C=3, etc." terms, MUSIC would be [17 + 21 + 19 + 9 + 3]. This totals to 69. Doing the same for drugs, we get [4 + 18 + 21 + 7 + 19]. This also totals to 69. Now, notice the number. 69. This is a sexual reference. And incidently, both music and drugs have led to people having sex. Coincidence? I think not! It's all a conspiracy! Music is just a "healthy" form of drugs put out in the attempt to make money! RUN FOR THE HILLS!

blah blah blah blah stopped reading here. IT IS WELL-KNOWN THAT PEOPLE FORM DEPENDENCIES ON ACTIVITIES AS WELL AS SUBSTANCES. THE SUBSTANCES ARE CALLED DRUGS, THE ACTIVITIES ARE NOT.

All I was doing is parodying the 9/11 conspiracy theories. Funny how you seem to be taking everything seriously. I posted that in a mixed state of insomnia and boredom. On an unrelated note (*HINT HINT I AM BEING SARCASTIC*), notice how just about everyone in this topic is saying something along the lines of "I like my music. It has a lot of the same qualities and effects a drug does, but it's not a drug by definition."

Music is NOT a dtug. It's a damn need or requirement. LISTEN TO MUSIC OR DIE! It's impossible to avoid it! YOU CAN'T STOP IT!

And drugs are normally either illegal or could cause serious damage to the body or help the body. Music doesn't do anything except... stuff. Like... well... GOGO CAUSES ANGER! ANGER MANAGEMENT ISSUES!!! Plus it shows your true self sometimes.

Ignore this post.
