Actually, freedom of religion is in Italy too. Just not in Vatican city, and even there they are pretty groovin' with other faiths.

Well, with all the sueing and whatnot that people do for being "offended" by the "forceful intrusion" of other religions in their life (aka saying "Merry Christma" instead of "Happy Holidays"), this is actually good. Sort of a blow against the whole problem of being politicall correct.

Stupid, yes. But good.

I don't believe in Santa, can I sue for that?

Seriously though, why are people so offended by the stupidest things!? The world has enough problems and some guy wants to sue on the existance of someone from over 2000 years ago? People have the right to believe what they want, but fighting to the bitter end to destroy religion (or on the other side, religious people fighting to make their belief the correct one) is not what we need right now. People should just believe what they want, and leave other people alone. You can't make everyone happy, but that doesn't give you reason to make everyone mad.

Ha, there is lots of proof Christ existed. This dude is a moron.

Now, if he was asking if Jesus did all those miracles, he's not quite as much of a moron.

Now, now. Just because the guys a nazi and already said that people who are gay can't become priests (something, on a side note, that Jesus seemed to go against) doesn't mean that he has super-elite shock troops ready for his command. Yet.

Yes, the facts mostly point to someone, maybe not Jesus, but someone none the less, who walked around as a miracle worker and spoke in the name of God. Several early documents from more than one nation point to this. Hell, there are people today who say that Jesus bloodline still exist and can be traced back to holy-boy himself.

Now, if he was actually the son of God or not, or whether he cold preform miracles is certainly up for debate, and I could imagine the Vatican being taken to court for that. But with all the facts pointing to Jesus's existance, this guy's just another Jack Thompson.

In other news, Thompson recently lost his lawyers liscence. Upon returning home after hearing this news, he found a bottle of vaginal lubricant on his front steps.

... I respect this guy for standing up for what he believes in, but then again... beliefs and religion should be personal. Unless he has on his agenda to try and make the church's power limited to.. the church.. then I dunno, he seems kinda shady to me.

Religion = personal.
If you're against religion.. well that's a belief and it = personal.

But I do respect him for sticking up for himself, I mean.. if he's forced to be a certain religion.

What, do they preform daily beatings for those not of the Christian faith in the Vatican city? As long as he's not forced to study the material, then it would be no different then the family down the street having Christmas lights on their house and Santas on their lawn when you are Jewish.

That was what I thought whenh I saw this thread.

"But I do respect him for sticking up for himself, I mean.. if he's forced to be a certain religion."

Uh, excuse me but who forced him to what? I donīt see anything about that in the text.

"Righi claims there is plenty of evidence to support the existence of Jesus, including historical texts."

That guy should read some. If he hasnīt, that is.

We have about as much evidence for Jesus as for Boudicca and many other Roman era figures, but no one questions their existance. But found a major religion...

. . .

We know Jesus exists, its not about questioning it...

How do we know George Washington existed huh? I've never seen him, he must not have existed! Let's just forget about all the written records of his existance lolz.

Interestingly I found a journal in my university library on Celtic studies that questions the existence of MANY classical figures!

But be a part of history...
