EDIT: KAMEK77 HAS AGREED TO TAKE OVER THIS THREAD. I AM NO LONGER IN CHARGE. OOOGYBOOOGY

Most of you remember from the old board that I had set up the Tetris Attack brain teaser thread, where I posted puzzles, and you guys solved them....we got pretty far. Well, unfortunately, since the board was wiped, I didn't back up the scores. (well, except KATW's 3 points - but he doesn't need them ) So we're gonna start fresh!

-----------------------------------------------

*COPIED FROM THE OLD BOARD* RULES*

was thinking of this for a long, long time, so I've finally decided to post it. I think it would work out very well with the instructions I'll try to give. If it ends up being too tough, then it can be closed. But for now, let me explain the game

**PLEASE READ THE RULES BEFORE PLAYING - SKIP PART 1 IF YOU HAVE ALREADY PLAYED TETRIS ATTACK"

Part 1: Tetris Attack itself.

Tetris Attack, originally Paneru De Pon (sp?) is a unique form of Tetris. You have a bunch of colored squares with shapes on them in a Tetris-like playing field. Instead of pieces coming down from the top, you had the ones on the screen. What you would do, is use the cursor you have on the screen to manuver pieces around and try to match three or more of the same colored squares. By doing this, you remove them. In this game, I'll be doing the Puzzle Mode. In the original puzzle mode, you had a certain amount of moves to try to clear the screen of blocks. Here is a rough example:

1 1 2 1 2 2

Assume the numbers are the colors. You have 1 move to clear the screen. Use your cursor (in Tetris Attck, it was 2 blocks long) to flip the middle two. By doing this, your puzzle will look like this:

1 1 1 2 2 2

Meaning you clear the screen. That's basically it - some puzzles will have more than one move, and be a lot more confusing.

If you still don't understand how to play after this, watch how a few people do it. Then you can try and join in.

Part 2: My version (READ THIS IF YOU'RE PLAYING)

All of you now know (or already did know) the puzzle mode. What I will do, is post various puzzles from Tetris Attack, and you must simply state the moves on how to beat them. Don't fret, let me show you an example:

(PUZZLE NOT AVAILABLE BUT YOU CAN STILL GET THE IDEA)

MOVES: 1
POINTS: 1
ROWS: 3
COLUMNS: 2

This was one of the puzzles in the original game. As you see, I will list underneath the point value of the puzzle, and how many points it's worth. I will, of course create my own. Now, how to solve:
Basically, just solve it any way you like, AS LONG as I understand it. For this one, you could say any of the following:

"Flip the top two"
"Flip the top left circle and the top right heart"

Or you could get as in-depth as a grid refernce if you'd like. Just be sure to list ALL your steps, like this:

"Flip the top two"
"Drop the top right one down."
"Flip the bottom right and the one right diamond right next to it"
"Move the diamond in the bottom right one square right"

This is just an example. Not too hard. And NO SKILL CHAINS! ABSOLUTELY NO SKILL CHAINS! (note: this was added after KP gave his answer down the page, so please don't go "but why'd he get the points*.)

*RULES DONE*

---------------------------------------

Most of you should already know how to play...so let's start!

PUZZLE 1:

MOVES: 3
POINTS: 1
ROWS: 4
COLUMNS: 4

Let's see who *cough* remembers....

In case you cant translate what XK said...

1 - Flip the green circle out in row two, eliminating dark triangles and some green circles.
2 - Flip the top star and circle
3 - Flip the second from bottom star and circle, eliminating the stars, and the rest of the circles.

Yeah, but if I'm following what Xk says, then he would still have a star and a circle left over. 0, 0 being the top right of the square, his first move would be pulling the top blue triangle to the right one, then flipping the green cirlce and blue triangle and taking them out. Then he would flip the third down star and circle.

I think I get that....I'll award the points to KATW for now, but if Xk proves me wrong, or I misunderstoof him, he gets the points.

POINTS:
Kirby ATW: 1

Again, sorry if there was any misunderstanding

MOVES: 4
POINTS: 2
ROWS: 6
COLUMNS: 7

I'm serious...help me if I'm wrong

Move the bottom two light blue triangles move into the pit.
Push both dark blue triangles down so they fall parallel to the tower.

The blue triangles should be destroyed, then the 4 green circles will fall and all 6 will disappear.

Lastly the light blue triangles that were not moved near the top will fall and react in a 6 by 1 rectangle on the bottom row.

Screen cleared

Ahhh, no. You're close, but if you notice, you can't pull down both dark blue triangles at once. If you pull down one blue triangle, and it lands on the light blue triangle you pushed into the pit earlier, only 3 of the dark blue triangles would clear - you would still have one left over.

If you don't get what I mean, Ill try my best to show you through a pciture or something

YAY ITS BACK! This one seems familiar ... anyway heres my go :

I Recall that you could move a piece over whilst another was falling? if not ill have another go:

Ignoring the outer 2 light blue triangles :
Move the bottom left triangle then the bottom right one 2 Moves
Move the bottom left dark blue and WHILST ITS ALL FALLING move the TOP right dark blue right one .

If you cant drop a piece whilst another is falling ill have to think this one over again , its trickier than i remember

Alternatively, switch 1) the bottom-left cyan triangle in the stack left, followed by 2) the bottom-left navy triangle. This will clear the left-hand set of circles, followed by a set of three cyan triangles. To complete the puzzle, switch 3) the bottom navy triangle in the remaining stack right, followed by 4) the bottom cyan triangle in the stack right. The circles will clear, followed by the cyan triangles and the navy triangles.

Welcome back KP! Nice to see you again. Your method is right, but I decided to change the rule about dropping a piece while another is falling. I'm gonna give you the point this time because I didn't really specify it til now but from now on, we won't do it like that, because it may get too advanced and hard to answer.

I have to give Kamek77 points too because he did it without a skill chain.

POINTS:
Kirby ATW: 1
kristopher_pearmam: 1
Kamek77: 1

Look at the names that begin with "K" ooooooh.

Heres 1-3: this is also gonna be the last "old" puzzle, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for all new ones.

MOVES: 3
POINTS: 2
ROWS: 3
COLUMNS: 3

Have fun

1) Move the bottom left diamond out to the left, dropping the star and deleting them.
2-4) Move the top right diamond left until it falls into a hole...

Mkay...

1) Switch the middle row left heart with the light triangle
2) Switch the heart out into open space eliminating the light triangles and one set of hearts.
3) Move either one of the dark blue triangles out to the left, eliminating a dark triangle and the hearts.

Hello, everyone!

This is Kamek77, here to tell you that yes, this thread will be (re-)revived...
SoNotNormal has agreed to hand the game off to me, so I will take up the reins from here.

Just as a reminder, here are the
Current Scores:
Kirby ATW: 4
kristopher_pearman: 1
Clockworkz: 1

And here's the next puzzle!

Puzzle 6

Moves: 2
Rows: 5
Columns: 4

Points: 1

Pretty easy one, actually.

Anyway, this thread should be back to stay for a while, hopefully.

Happy puzzling!
