It's a habit I've been meaning to break. Annoying, but I don't do it as often as I used to.

I used to do it, until I noticed that my teeth were really worn down. I don't know if me biting nails was the cause of that, though.

My dentist suggested it could be because I "rubbed" my teeth against each other while sleeping. I kind of agreed to that, as I have woken up by the sound you can get from doing just that. So now I have to wear this plastic plate in my mouth, shaped like my bottom set of teeth, everytime I go to sleep, to prevent me from "rubbing" my teeth towards each other. Yeah.

Yeah, I knew that wasn't the best way of saying it, hence the " ". I just couldn't remember what was. I guess that makes me a bad person.

I have for as long as I can remember

I don't do it all that often presently (mostly when I'm nervous), but I haven't completely stopped yet. My parents have been trying for the longest time to get me to quit biting them. Their methods have gone from giving me $5 if I didn't bite my nails for a whole month, to buying a jar of some nail polish type liquid that, when spread on my nails, would keep me from biting them. It certainly did. The stuff tasted awful I can't remember why they stopped doing that (I suppose the nail polish stuff may have run out though), but they stopped doing that after a month or so, and went back to bribing me

In short, yes, I bite my nails, but not as much as I used to.

I bite my nails when they´re becoming longer than usual.

A few times times a day. I´ve always done it.

Nope, I don't bite my fingernails. Never have actually.

I just use the clippers whenever I need to shorten them a bit, which is every two weeks or so.

I never bit my nails, ever. I just use a pair of clippers when they get too long and I have always done it that way for as long as I can remember.

I've had this habit for as long as I can remember, and I hate it. For a while I was able to stop... but I got back into it somehow, and I still do. It's like a nervous/boredom habit, gah.

Only when a clipper isn't handy and my nails are getting even longer than even "Crazy Computer Man" length. Also used to remove ingrown nails when there's no nail clippers.

I often chew on the ends of my nails.
But I don't bite. I did when I was a kid, and got myself to stop by using nail clippers.. now I always have to have clippers with me or I freak out. I hate long nails.

I used to bite my nails. It used to be something that I was almost constantly doing.

Then I got braces in Year 8. I couldn't get my fingers in my mouth well enough with the braces to do it anymore.

I haven't done it since. I have been known to use my teeth to clean out under my nails though, which is probably not exactly good either. When I've bitten my nails recently, cause something was uneven, I didn't like how the nails felt afterwards and I get scissors and fix it up.

Yeah but it's sometimes. Meaning my nails can get pretty long if I let them like my pinky and ring finger on my right hand. About an inch long (pinky) measured from cuticle to the tip. People have given me strange looks because of it.
