thats the second time  well, I fixed it, forgot the exit code....so redownload if you want to be able to press exit....
I use VB6...since thats the language I know best. |

| which file does it say is missing? you might need to get the vb6 runtimes, or just search for the filename of the file that it says is missing. | |||

| I would upload a picture of the window but Image Shack is down.
It says: component "COMDLG32.OCX" or one of it's dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid. EDIT: I forgot to add that I did search for the file but found nothing. (edited by Andrew on 01-03-06 09:40 PM) |

| Well..
Text editor doesn't pretty much need anything but the feature to edit text.. So, I'd say it's kind of a perfect. But uhh, how about some extra features like text color change? Like, it's only a palette change, so it's no biggie. That's all that comes in my mind now.. |

| alrighty, I fixed it, and added checking to make sure your the same length as the original string, since the string will mess up if you are over, and possibly if you are under, also, the little text box to the right of the big one now displays the length of the string so keep it the same length....if it turns out to short, then just add some spaces to the string, or if its over, you will have to try and make it shorter, sorry, but im not sure how I could work around the text length restrictions...
Just download the zip again, I already uploaded it, so just redownload it, and it should be fine then. (same link as first post, but its the updated version) http://dcahrakos.info/smb3txt.zip oh, and if you wanted COURSE to STAGE, copy this, ive done it and it works STAGE CLEAR ! | Well, The space is limited, Legoman.
Imagine if you'd put a 5000 -character word into a 5 -character input field on the ROM. It's the same as you'd try to put 2 Bananas into one Banana Pile. It simply doesn't fit. |

| I could take the limit out, but just think about it...it will overwrite data, and most likely overwrite other text...so you would have your text you put in, but other text would be gone and replaced with that text...or important data would be replaced, and the rom would not work. | |||
