I don't have webspace right now, so I'll have to link to the threads at ZMD with them.

Stripper & Dancer Restoration Patch

Font Enlargement Hack

Enjoy

Edit: And I guess I should say I'm working on more, I think the next thing I'll tackle is attaching the vampire women to the top of the screen again.

Edit II: Updated the links.

Dragonsbrethren, you wouldn't happen to know where the fonts are stored (and, more importantly, in what format), would you?

I was hoping to whip up a small patch which would replace the font used for the damage numbers in battles with the one that was in the SNES original.

Yes, I know where the fonts are stored, and they are a total pain in the ass to edit, it took me a very long time to make the patch because of that...

$3D4100

View it in YY-CHR, VB format, vertical alignment. If you need help I can explain how they work better.

The battle damage numbers aren't there though, that's another thing I'd like to restore.

I've got the ROM open now (with Tile Molester, in 2bpp reverse-order linear format), and that is indeed a mess.

Perhaps the battle damage numbers are battle sprites and not a font? I've found some map sprites but none for battle. Hopefully they're not compressed.

(Edit: In the Japanese ROM, similar data is found around 0x3F45D0 and after. There are huge morasses of garbled kanji but no battle damage numbers.)

I'm fairly certain they're compressed, then again I thought the font was compressed until I stumbled onto it on accident.

I was wondering what that stripper thing would look like, pretty tame. Too bad US had to cut it out.

The patch to fix the vampires is impossible, once you move them out of a certain possition on the battle field they disappear. It's annoying too because like all this game's problems Square Enix could've fixed it in minutes if they really tried.

How about a "health screen removal" hack?

That was right below the font enhancement on the lists of things that needed to be fixed.

If I knew a debugger from my ass it'd have been done by now...
