I can't get a white background working in my layout.

Pretty pathetic.

*The "s mean the < and > tags..

I tried "body bgcolor=#FFFFFF", "body background=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v509/xsadbutruex/white.gif".. and putting the URL in the box specified... nothing is working.

What is going on here?

Your post layout isn't an HTML file, using body, html, title, or anything will get it removed.

do I recommend black-on-white? No, it's usually blinding when compared to the general board schemes.

You could be more creative and use white-on-black, and invert that pic.

Anyway it's almost like Xk said. In your header:
<table background=ffffff><tr><td><font color=000000>

In footer:
</font></td></tr></table>

Cuz, you know, proper HTML is good. Also, that post background field doesn't work.

Seriously.. you should try this. White backgrounds are so brought on most schemes.. it's blinding. And it shouldn't be all that hard to do.

You sure? I'm pretty sure MSPaint just inverts everything. Can't test it now, though.

I'm talking about making red stay red, for example, but still inverting the brightness. It's a pretty funky effect.
