Ask questions in this thread and they will be put up here and possibly answered if I know the answer.
Q - What is a switch? A - A switch is something which can be turned on or off to make your game work. They can be used to make complex games, for example, you must talk to someone who will open a gate for you. When you talk to the person, the switch will be turned on making the gate open. Q - What is a variable? A - A variable is a complex switch. It can store data in the form of a number. These are useful for making quest, for example: The King's chef asks you to collect 20 pieces of chicken for the king's dinner. You go out and kill chickens. Each one you kill makes the variable increase by one. After you have killed 20 chickens, you go back to the chef who will congratulate you and give you a reward. Q - Is RPG Maker XP the best one? A - It depends on your oppinion. RPG Maker XP has the best graphics, better engine and its own coding (RGSS). Although it had many features taken out of it that RM2k3 had, like playing FMVs etc. All of those can be done in RGSS though. Q - Where can I download RPG Maker XP? I'm a n00b who can't search google! A - Your Welcome (edited by Teundusia on 11-20-05 03:46 AM) (edited by Teundusia on 11-20-05 03:47 AM) |

Andrew: I'll look into it. I'm sure it has something to do with variables and conditional branches.
Peter: Explain the battle system a bit more. I've never played Arc the Lad. EDIT: Okay, I got it to work but it's very hard for me to explain... (edited by Teundusia on 11-18-05 05:22 PM) |
