There's a girl that I dated for 9 months last year named Kristen. We fell in love like three weeks after we started dating, petty fast eh? Well, on December 30, 2004, we broke up for the last time and didn't talk for three months. She had her share of guys during those three months and then in April we started talking again, and kind of got back together, only not officially. It was like a friends with benefits things only we actually loved eachother and had emotion and such..

So it was pretty much like we were unoficially dating for the past 7 months. We've had our share of episodes but about 3 weeks ago, we just randomly stopped talking. No calls, no nothing. And it has really upset me. I really loved her and it seems like I can't get over her. Everytime I think I am starting to get over her I have dreams about her for like 4 nights in a row. And Christmas Eve was just one of the most depressing nights of my life because all I could think about was her.

I mean, I'm going back to college on January 18 so I will hopefully meet new people that way but lately she has just been on my mind all the time. And even to this day just thinking of her with another guy literally makes me sick to my stomach because we were eachother's first love.

So I guess what I am asking is....

How can I help myself get over her and move on?

When you say "just randomly stopped talking. No calls, no nothing" do you mean she wouldn't return your calls, or she wouldn't return yours, or you both didn't call each other and then got pissed over it?

If you're really in love, why did you take the "friends with benefits" route? That doesn't make it clear that you love her, it makes it clear that you want to sleep with her. There's a difference, no?
Just call her and tell her how you feel. Don't try pretending she doesn't mean a lot to you, or you're going to end up right back in the same situation.
I don't know why you just randomly stopped talking. Take some initiative if you actually care about her.

I never wanted to do the "Friends w/benefits" I wanted a relationship but she really didn't want to jump back into one, however we still acted like a couple did.

Actually we never did that.... we just told eachother how much we loved eachother, and did couple stuff, we just never officially dated.

And to answer your first question, we just went a day without calling eachother because I could tell that she just didn't want to talk to me the last time we talked on the phone. So we haven't talked since then.

There's only ONE way to fix a dim display, and that's by power surging the drivers. Quick as you can, you need to flick the power switch of your PC on and off 30 times.

Danielle, actually, I find great truth in it. Crim's advice is obvious. Matt, I get the impression you want something more out of this, but if she's seeing other people, then as much as it probably hurts inside, you just need to move on, perhaps focus on a hobby you have, or participate more with friends in some kind of activity. Of course, you're going to college soon, college will be full of many new experiences and distractions, I'm sure with time, you'll just remember your relationship as a wonderful but past time. I hope I have not misunderstood.

Just call her and try letting her know how you feel, in one shape or another. Too much time without any discussion can come back to haunt you. I learned that the hard way.

Shit happens to me sometimes. Broke up with 5 different girls in my life when I was in High School Student. You need to keep moving on try to be happy with your life just like I did. I've done with women in NY for a while so I should continue supporting my Friends and Family. I rather enjoy being single-handed and carry not on the legacy.
