I get my licence tomorrow! That is, of course, if I pass the test. I'd say that within a six month period, I've only driven about 2 dozen times. During those times, I have not successfully parallel parked once. I feel like I may be screwed come 10 AM tomorrow...

Good luck.

You will need to practice parallel parking. I don't know if the test is different where you are, but in Australia it was an item on the test.

Ask your folks to help you practice.

If your exams are like the exams where I live, even if you totally butcher P-parking you can still pass if you do perfect on everything else. If they're not, well... Good luck.

My instructor only had me park in a regular parking lot slot during the test. I think it's because I complimented him on his "lacking appearence of balding". But yeah, watch out for the written test. It actually has some trick questions on it, go figure.

I didn't have to parallel park for my test.. just drive up to a curb with no cars around, and reverse along it for about 50 feet. It was a breeze.

Anyway, good luck.

anyways, i'm sure parallel parking is something they'll not fail you for...if you run onto the curb now, that is something i'd worry more

Well, I took the test, and...
*drumroll*
Botched the parallel park. Failed it, gotta take in on the 11th o' January. Oh well; more time to practice, I guess.

I won´t even get to DRIVE a car due to my bad sight.

Sucks that you failed the parallel parking. And good luck the next time. Damn, I wish I was allowed to drive a car.

You failed? Aw damn that sucks. You just need to go out and spend a few hours parallel parking over and over. Til you get the hang of it.
I'm... really glad I didn't have to do that.

At some point, we all got to do it...whether for a test or not. I didn't have to do it for my test--maybe a state of cali thing, who knows...

The key with parallel parking is knowing where you are and the limits of your car, and uh...going a little more when you think you don't have the room. Also, what car did you use to drive, a 4 door sedan or an SUV ?

Oregon's test is awesome. We barely have to do anything unless we really fuck something up
