Well, it's nearly that time of year again.

Do any of you guys have any New Years Resolutions for this coming year? If so, what are they? Did you have resolutions last year, and how did you go with them?

My New Years Resolutions are to lose weight (again) and to fix up my finances.

My resolution at the end of last year was to lose weight also, and I lost 13kg (28.6lbs) this year. I intend to lose as much again in this coming year.

I had no resolution concerning finances at the beginning of this year; but due to circumstances this year it's now a priority to resolve (or at least make manageable) my problems in the coming year.

What are your goals / resolutions for the New Year?

To start going to college and get a job; to lose weight (wow, that's everyone's resolution, heh); to get better at web design and programming and eventually run my own site (which acmlm.org, ironically, is going to be...) ... and some other things.

That's about it.

I should get disgustingly musceled, with steroids, and then the next New Year quit steroids. I should also try not to hate school as much.

* Gain weight. I'm 135 lbs, and 6'3"! Something is not right about that!
* Stop procrastinating
* Start college

They're not officially resolutions, but they're things that I really have to do.

-Gain another 10 lbs or more
-Get therapy (maybe I'm too violent)
-Make sure I don't have any crappy professors this semester
-Work my ass off for an actual house
-Make a lot of videogames
-Perhaps, have another kid
-Finish and release a good hack
-Make a Newgrounds flash on the main portal
-Get a new hard-drive
-Find a job that doesn't take up as much time as my other two jobs
--Spend more time with my daughter and fiance

I.... well, Kirbynite's gonna laugh at this, but I wanna cut back on Caffeine severely. If NSNick's the board drunkard, I'm definitely the board's caffeine-head. You all may say you drink a lot of caffeine, but I actually experience health problems from it at times. Plus, I drink it to alter my personality (make me hyper, etc) and be a different person. It's horrible for you, and it shrinks your heart and other organs too (I guess that's why I've been such a bitch lately...).

So, cut back. That's my resolution.

I don't need no stinkin' New Years resolution you social liberals!

I make my changes constantly. If I want to make a change in my life New Years isn't going to help me make it.

- Finish Rando's Xiahou Dun costume. It's one of those things that I want to do, but I just can't seem to get myself started up again because on some level, I'm afraid I'll fuck it up royally (although I'm very happy with how it has turned out so far).
- Finish overhauling rydain.org to use a content management system. I started this before I left for my New Year's vacation.
- Make more of my own food. I'm missing out on an awesome variety of good stuff because I'm farking lazy when it comes to cooking.
- Get more sleep on a regular basis.

Meh, I made a resolution to lose weight last year, and didn't even start until April or June So New Years itself isn't really making me change

It's just a good time to reflect upon the past year and then set goals for the next one. Goals which I'll probably start mid year again when I finally get the motivation to do things.

On the subject of changing things throughout the year as needed: that's exactly what I do with my workout routines. I keep in mind what works and what I like and what my body seems to want, and I adjust periodically. At the beginning of fall, I was getting crunky (inflexible with bizarre owies that should not have been there), so I switched over to doing less weight lifting and more bodyweight exercises that give you some serious flexibility work at the same time (example: dive bomber pushups). That all helped iron me out, but I miss picking up heavy shit and putting it down, so after vacation, I'll be back to a lifting routine that worked well for me last year. I'll just incorporate lower volumes of those bodyweight exercises on the off days to keep me limber. Switching back to the Bill Starr 5x5 looks like a New Year's resolution at first glance, but that's just a timing coincidence, so it didn't go on the list.

(Don't mind me. I'm staying up way past my bedtime because it's vacation and because I can, and I'm prattling because it's fun and it keeps me awake. . I want to get the dysfunctional sleeping patterns out of my system now kthx)

Usually I just change things all year, like Rydain and Ziff, so I guess that's why I never have any real resolutions.

Ah, the caffeine withdrawal headache, I know it all too well. If you drink alot of coffee, I'd suggest swapping it out for hot chocolate, its obviously not really the same, but it gives you something warm to drink, kind of like chewing gum for smokers.

back when I was 12 or so I resolved never to make another new years resolution again.

And so far, it's the only one I've been able to keep.

Well, at least you can say you've never failed a resolution since then.
