Meh, RAW was cool. SmackDown vs. RAW gets better everytime RAW/SmackDown is on. It's the begining and end of RAW that was gold.

On the drug policy, it (wisely) sounds as though it's covering more than just steroids. This is a good thing, and from the transcript I read, it seems to be humane as well (It sounds as though, if you're taking an excessive amount of painkillers--as I fear a sizable portion of the roster may well be, they'll try to get you help as opposed to immediately canning you).

As for RAW: I think my reaction was summed up by two posts I made on Wrestlecrap during the few minutes Trish Stratus was involved:

Post 1, during the commercial: "I hope this ends with Trish in bondage."
Post 2, as we come back from commercial: "YES. MY WISH IS GRANTED."

I understand there was some wrestling on this show, too.

Oh, it absolutely is. But steroids is a "taboo" word in WWE. You just don't talk about them, and if you're asked about them you always take the high road and either lie about not having taken them or dodge the question.

They've always had a loose drug policy though... I mean, if it's apparent someone's in trouble, Vince and the company have been known to step in and offer rehab. If you refuse that offer, however, you're done. It's just a stricter policy now and an all-encompassing one too.

Yeah, for all perceptions of Vince as an asshole, he's very willing to step in and help out. He's also willing to give second chances, as with 4 years ago, when he didn't fire....Eddie Guerrero, after Guerrero had been busted for DUI.

Guess where I've been this evening...

Smackdown!

Oh yes Smackdown came to Sheffield tonight, and we managed to plunder some free tickets. We saw:

Batista, Matt Hardy, Funika-wotsit, William Regal, Kane, Bigshow, Booker T, Chris Benoit and Rey Mysterio among many others.

Seeing as it's the last show before Survior Series, tensions are (supposedly ) high between Smackdown and Raw. We got to see both, as a brawl errupted between the two right at the end of the show... In the runway, in the ring, in the ringside...

All of Smackdown paid tribute to Eddie as well, at the end. Lots of Eddie banners around, Rey grabbed one and held it high from the top of the ring corner at the end

It's airing on Friday Absolutely awesome XD

(Edit: Sorry for my deleted thread... I missed the sticky )

Funaki needs his own song and Flash movie, complete with clips of Takeshi's Castle. "(HUH!) We like Funaki! I'm a lucky for your love!" I mean, isn't he still Mackdown's NUMBAH ONE announcer? (EDIT: Aw fuck, that one doesn't have the Takeshi's Castle clips. I have the one that does saved on my computer. Neener neener.)

(Oooooooh... Funaki...)

Emptyeye: Didn't see those posts in the Raw thread. What's your name there?

Woulda throught they'd get Burchill on the show. Eh...

Yeah, a few weeks ago they made it a point to state that Funaki was "Smackdown's #1 announcer" in the process of jobbing him out to Coach.

As for Wrestlecrap, I believe my displayed name at the moment is "EmptyEYE DUNNOOOOOOOOO" or something similar. The "Trish in bondage" posts got wiped when the thread went boom, though.

Oh, Kas got to attend the show. I never get to go to tapings for some reason... then again, Montreal didn't get a TV/PPV for years after November 1997.

Wow does the Survivor Series card look small. I hope they're not going long with every match...

I wonder how Undertaker will come back at Survivor Series as they keep mentioning that he'll return then.

Undertaker will probably just come into the SmackDown vs Raw match and destroy everyone, including Orton. I mean, what else is there for him to do now that Orton has been added to the Team SD roster?

Spoiler:
Taker appeared after the main event elimination match, which SD won with Orton being the sole survivor. He basically destroyed some midcarders who ran out of the dressing room and then eyed Orton as the show ended.

It's looking like the next PPV's main event is Taker vs. Orton - Hell in a Cell.

Nope, that's never ever happened before to my knowledge. Original booking.

How long until the Daivari angle runs its course... at least they got him back on TV even if it's a weird role.

Yay it seems as Bischoff will be leaving and Shane will be taking his place as GM. Or maybe they both will run it? One thing is for sure I would like to see Bischoff gone even if it might not be for good.

I love how people think Bischoff is actually "running" Raw.

Do you think if he were running Raw that he would let people screw with him like they do?

NO.... the whole thing is scripted.... and it is scripted to make you not like him....

it's the same with every wrestler that you see.... they are made to be liked or disliked at different times....

*SOME* of us know that. :\

I dunno. As soon as multiple McMahon's appear on TV I start to get all confused and disillusioned. :\
