When redirecting back to the thread, can it be on the same page that you deleted the post (provided your post isn't the first of that page, might be tricky)?

I have an idea.. Like gamefaq's system of forum (sorry for the bad example) they should make it that [this post has been deleted by the poster or a moderator/admin] appears on deletion, as not to screw up replies or something

Xk: I'm not quite sure you got it... actually I'm not quite sure what you're thinking

The GameFAQs way of doing things (not necessarily bad, it's inspired dozens of developers to emulate that system of message board) wouldn't seem to fit here :/

Yep.. that's what I get in the habit of doing. There have been many times where I replied to someone who ended up editing/deleting their post.

I almost didn't quote Xk's post, but then I figured he'd do something sassy. >8(

Heh... I think people should only be able to delete their post if it's not the first message of the thread, and if it's the last reply in a thread. Once someone has answered, then too late...

Meh... as long as it's not the first post, I don't mind. However, I don't have a good habit of quoting people, so I often look like an idiot.

It's not too hard to just edit the post to say it's replying to a deleted post.
