Yeah, but being a Detroit fan my whole life, a simple playoff loss won't matter next year. Heck, it doesn't matter now. Every game there's a winner and a loser, and Detroit just lost.

By the way, does anyone know what's going to happen with Legace? I read back when the playoffs started that if Detroit doesn't win the cup then they were going to get rid of him.

Calgary lost in what I thought was the WORST GAME (excitement-wise) of the playoffs so far. 3-0, Anaheim wins the series.

Schedule for the next round. No Saturday night game!

neo: Huet's played better than Theo, and Theo only played well in Game 5. He's still hit and miss but maybe he's starting to get his confidence back now.

Yes it was a boring Brodeur 3-0...

BUT WE WON!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Man, it feels good to be on the other side of that finally... Flames were shut down badly, I'm kind of disappointed.

Yay...ducks won but..um, now that I think about it, San Jose has had trouble with edmonton this year

The seeding of the semi's can essentially be put together... 1-4 for eastern, and 5-8 for western

It's crazy how the top 4 teams of the Western Conference got beat out first round.

I've heard a couple rumors, not sure if they are true but I'll ask you guys to see if you know.

The first is, I heard that if Legace didn't win Detroit the Stanley Cup that he won't be in Detroit anymore.

The second, I heard that they were changing the Mighty Ducks name to just the Ducks.

If either of these are true, then that sucks. The Mighty Ducks is an awesome name and Ducks is kind of lame. I also don't think Legace should get off Detroit. Legace has had a pretty crappy career as it is.

No, he has had a greath regular season career--always giving Detriot a good season to make the playoffs. It's just that he can't seem to cut it in the playoffs. Reminds me of Curtis Joseph and St. Louis

Well, all I meant when I said Legace had a crappy career, was what I read on NHL's site. When he first started, it said that when he was on Los Angeles, his coach told him that he's too small and unfit to be any good in the NHL and stuff like that. It would have been great if he led Detroit to the Stanley Cup and proved him wrong but his playoff play was nothing compared to his season play.

Anahiem blanks the Avalanche 5-0 and a very surprising Game 1 between the Hurricanes and the Devils. Who would have thunk that Brodeur would give up 5 goals

Unlike the NFL, one game doesn't mean anything.

Pretty close game between the Sabres and the Senators. Buffalo pulled through to tie then to win in OT 7-6.

Tonight's game Anaheim vs. Colorado. WOW

Colorado solves Ilja 2nd longest shutout streak in nhl playoff history only to be cursed by another mighty individual. Lupul... scored all 4 of the Ducks goals including the OT winner. Simply ridiculous and amazing.

People down here don't realize what a big deal the Ducks has been in the post season around here. Sure, they have arguably the most comical and dignity strapping name in all of professional sports, but this team could use a little more support. In the final minutes of the 5-0 win against Colorado, most of the fans were leaving the building instead of celebrating. And look at Calgary, they went from zero to hero and everybody loved them it seemed... but then they are in Canada, which would make sense.

I mean the Angels and Lakers have been getting their share of respect for their success in the last few years, but there is little love for the Ducks. Not too many fans here... and it seems most people who like hockey in OC are Kings fans... *barf*

Really though, imagine playing THAT long in a game. Nearly 2 games in a row. One team was bound to let that goal in. It just seems the wrong team did. Three teams are up for elimination now.

san jose versus edmonton is the only "fun" series to watch right now, not unless you are a ducks, sabres, or hurricanes fan...

I agree with you there. The other series are all just about one siders as of now. Buffalo and Ottawa tied 1-1 going to the 3rd. Buffalo has a chance to end it. The Ducks have been playing great against Colorado. Major props goes to their goalie. I won't stop thinking San Jose is the better team in that series unless Edmonton wins the series. Although that first Buffalo Ottawa game was pretty entertaining.

in other news, the devils live to see another game, beating the canes 5-1. Right now, the sabres are up 2-1 in the middle of the second against the senators...

3-2 win in OT!! Pominville with the Shorthanded (seriously) winner!!

Get Ready Carolina/New Jersey!

Current CF matchups:

#6 Anaheim vs. #5 San Jose or #8 Edmonton (Series Tied 2-2)
#4 Buffalo vs. #2 Carolina or #3 New Jersey (CAR leads series 3-1)

Looks like the East will get home ice advantage in the finals...

dude, this was guaranteed after the first round...

San Jose heads back home for game 5. San Jose needs to win at home to have momentum to advance. If edmonton wins game 5, I consider my los tiburones to be drowned in oil.
