I think that was the best thing for you. If you said you liked it, when you got her hair back the way you wanted it to be, she'd cut it again.
But yeah, I don't like real short, but just short. It's looks better on blondes.  Good choice. |

I mean why lie? What would you gain? You may spare her feelings at the moment but the haircut could've nagged you for awhile and like Riku said if you lied, she may take it as an open invitation to continue cutting her hair that same way. |

| If she thinks that honesty is very important she must be able to take take the truth, even if it sounds negative that particular moment. You have to be able to say what you think without her getting hurt. It can be hard, though. Talk to her about this. And comfort her.

When I cut my hair real short, my fiancee told me that it didn't look right. And yes, I regret cutting it back then, but there's nothing that can be done about that. What is done is done. |

The important thing is to have a relationship that you feel comfortable with. As long as you didn't sound like a jackass when you said it, you made the right choice. It's better to be honest than to allow things to drag you around. I'm glad you actually had the balls to say that, I raise my glass to ya!  |

| I agree with what everyone else has said. Being honest is best, and she should know that at least you were honest, and not lying to her face. Just remind her that it doesn't change the way you feel, and that it will grow back. |
