I've checked the stickies and can't see this in there.
I've managed to import backgrounds before back when I used to edit Mario World and before World of Warcraft stole my life. I really want to get back into Mario World editing again, but I can't remember the specifics on how to import a background into the game. I remember it has to be a .pcx made with an old version of Paint Shop Pro, but nothing really above that. Anyone have a guide or some specifics? |

Click here and download the M16-7k tutorial.
NOTE: The patch won't work with Lunar Magic 1.63! |

As far as I know there's no direct way to import backgrounds. You have to use a tile editor to insert the background one tile at a time. (edited by Kailieann on 11-20-05 01:39 PM) |

Kailieann, there is a way. With M16-7k, you just need a screenshot of the background and save it as a version 2 PCS file with 16 colors. Then open up PCX2OPT and convert the file in SNES format. After that open LM and the M16 editor and press the keys for the M16-7k thing, a new window will appear. Set the right palette, etc.....and save. | |||

Well. You still have to use the tile editor to insert the graphics, all this does is save you the trouble of putting it together one tile at a time.
And considering all the preparation work you have to do anyways, it pretty much comes down to a matter of personal preference. Besides, according to the tutorial you need PSP 3.11, and I only have 7.04, so I'm like so totally screwed anyways. And most people have actually never heard of PSP, so you may want to add a note explaining what it is and where to get it. (edited by Kailieann on 11-20-05 01:39 PM) |
