What the hell are you talking about?

You can't shorten a URL. If the URL is long, it has to be exact -- and long.

You can change what shows up in a link as the link text though, is that what you mean? If that's what you mean, I suggest you look for a HTML tutorial on the web. I could tell you how it's done, but I think if you're that unfamiliar with HTML you are best to learn properly, not bits and pieces.

But you don't have to use HTML either... There's a board tag that does just that, and that may be easier to remember for those who don't know HTML.
