I'd say, roughly around 20.
Most of them were really short relationships. Some I could remember...

1.) This sadistic chick named Catherine, who looked like a nice girl. During our relationship, she loved to bite me (hard), smack me (hard), and basically, loved giving me pain. I was asleep once and she tried to shove glass down my throat. That was it, I didn't want to see her anymore.

2.) An athletic German girl named Allison had the nicest teeth (THE one million-dollar smile), short blonde hair, blue eyes. She used to be a really shy, somewhat stuck-up girl at the beginning of the year. She looked lonely so I asked if she was doing alright and a big tear rolled down a huge, glittering grin on her face. Things went really well until summer came around. Her dad was a military officer, very strict guy. He always tried to intimidate me and half the time I nearly pissed myself when he'd shout out to me. I agreed to mow their lawn one afternoon and I actually felt welcomed into their house. He said he was going to work and that he trusts me to keep a watch out for Allison. She was really happy that I won her dad's respect, so she invited me inside for a cold drink. Just as she hugged me, I said, "I'm sorry if I'm sweaty and gross right now.". I asked if I could use her shower really quick. I went upstairs to the bathroom, got undressed, showered. In the middle of it, she said, "I think I left something in the bathroom could you open the door?". I was a tad confused and asked, "What did you need?". She said, "I left a brush in there, you see it?". "I'm sorry, there's no brush." "Lemmie at least take a look!". I wrapped my towel around my waist, opened the door and she got pretty close to me. "Hi, don't you need to check for something? Why are you looking at me like that?". Out of nowhere, she grabbed my hand and said, "Let's go to my room!". "What about your dad!?" "He's gone now, we don't have much time.". She threw me on her bed and before I knew it, we were both naked and her dad was pulling up to the front. I tried to get her off as I needed to get my pants back on. Her dad was making his way up the stairs and he caught me. I knew the guy was gonna kill me at this point. I ran out of the house carrying my shirt as he said, "You son of a bitch! Get back here I'm gonna kill you!". I never went back to her house, and don't wish to.

3.) Julie (now my fiance), was perfect. She spikes her hair, has deep green eyes, and an "I'm gonna kick your ass" attitude. Her voice reminded me of Moro from Princess Mononoke, she happened to like wolves so I nicknamed her "Moro". She loved the rustic, denim look but was not afraid to do wild things like sharpen her nails to triangular points. Just when I thought that was good, she beat up a guy bigger than me. Although I was with someone else(Allison) at the time, I was starting to fall for her. I used to be her normal, everyday friend since the 5th grade. We shared stories and had a lot of laughs. Unlike a lot of girls I met, she took evil seriously, not as a cute little gimmick. Whenever she gets pissed off, even I have to walk away. She's one of those types that you cannot touch when she cries, unless you're me. There was a weird time when I was very depressed, she invited me over to her house for some movies. We got bored, drank beer, got drunk, said some weird things, then had sex. After knowing that we got very deep in one night, we didn't talk to eachother for about 3 weeks. We got back together and decided to except eachother as boyfriend and girlfriend. I'm now engaged to her and will officially marry when I have enough money for an actual house. Since then, things have been slow, but great.

I've had exactly one relationship. Rando and I started as friends, got crushes on each other, started dating in October 1999, moved in together the summer after that, got a house and cats in the summer of 2002, and were married in October 2003. Before that, all I had were crushes on guys who never liked me back. Funny how the first mutual crush wound up being a winner...

I guess you´re very lucky, Rydain. And Rando´s lucky who has such a nice girl as you.

I hope I can get a girlfriend when I´m out of high school.

Two...

One was just a relationship that happened at the end of 6th grade, and nothing really came out of it. We were technically dating for like... 4 or 5 months too, but whatever. She later moved, and as of say, last month, I would never of hear or seen her since, but she recently found me on MySpace, and we got to talking a little bit.

Then... 8th grade a girl that was a friend of mine asked me out. I knew she liked me, and I had tried to make a point that I didn't want anything more out of it, so I had to say no.

And now, I had a crush on this girl less than halfway through Freshman year, but I was too shy or stupid to say anything. Then she got in a relationship, and that really screwed me over... I had 4 out of 6 classes with her Sophmore year, and spent the entire year attempting to win her over. She's a very nice person, and fun to talk to, so that definately egged me on. However, she was still in that relationship, but that started to decline last April, about. (Some things happened to her, and he wasn't there to support her.)

Finally in June I had the courage to call her, and over the summer, we talked generally for an average of 3-4 hours a day. While she suspected something, a friend of hers told her that I liked her about July.. Luckily nothing got akward. We continued to talk, and I tried to help her through her relationship, (As hard as that was,) and then she finally broke ties with him in August..

She decided that she liked being single, (Probably because it was better than the hell of a relationship she was in for like, the past 4 months,) which sort of hurt. I was still persistant, and so as a result, I don't really think she ever felt that "Single," because she still had a person that she cared about, and me for her.

Then she finally dropped a big enough hint to me, "Well, Homecoming would be more interesting if we were dating," on October 12th... And so I asked her to be mine the next day, October 13th! (Unlucky my ass.)

Been together very happily since then, and as a result of all our phone calls over the summer, we communicate better than any couple I've seen.

I have horrible luck with women. I've had I think 7 or 8.

1. Cheated on me
2. Dumped me for someone else but realized it was a bad mistake
3. Psycho
4. Just Bad
5. Psycho Bitch
6. Moved away
7. Emotional Bitch
8. Drunkard

So yeah....horrible luck but now i've come to learn to not really care so much about having a girlfriend. Because it ends up sucking in the long run anyway, for me at least, so right now I'm laying it low.

I've never really wanted a girlfriend, since I grew up without any friends for a long time, and although I have friends now, I still do very well on my own, so I just never bothered.

officially I think I had 4 although only 2 of them lasted over 1 week

good old high school relationships that ended before they began...

the last girlfriend eventually became my wife (after only 9 months actually), so you never know who might work out.... when I first started dating her I sure didn't think we would get married

technically, I had 3--1 in 4th grade, 1 in 8th grade, 1 right now

the 4th grade one was weird, so I really don't count that one (not to sure how long that one lasted--i'd say 2.6 months 3/17 to first week of june)

8th grade lasted a week

the one i have right now has been about 6 weeks already (started on halloween ) and has had the most progress in terms of showing affection...

I've never managed a successful romantic relationship, but that's not for lack of trying, just usually I made the mistake of liking someone who has no interest at all

Hello knuck. Hey, I've got an awesome idea. While you are banned, get a girlfriend.

I've had one, lasting from August of 2004 to about eleven months later. I was two weeks from 17 when it started, and it ended a month or so before my 18th birthday. She's a couple of years older than me; as I was a senior in high school, she was pursuing a theater degree at the local community college.

Things got complicated, to put it vaguely, and the split was messy. In any case, we're quite close now, and I love her dearly. Not romantically, though.

As a consequence of the messy details of our breakup, I fear that I might have some trust issues now. I don't have a current romantic interest but I get the feeling that, should one arise, the biggest difficulty would be in devoting myself while simultaneously opening myself to betrayal.

None. The inclusion of another person into my life, especially romantically, could only complicate matter and force myself to enter more problems and commitments that I don't really need.

silvershield: that's the trade off.... you either open up completely or risk ruining things because you aren't connecting enough.... tough to open up completely sometimes...

but it's worth it once you find someone that is equally willing to open up to you

I find myself labeling all females - well, all girls my age, at least - as utterly untrustworthy. The development of my first and only girlfriend being unfaithful, coupled with my soon-after move to college, has quite honestly frightened me. At school, it seems, cheating and infidelity are just a matter of fact. I know a considerable number of people, mostly girls, who have an attitude regarding relationships that really turns me off of the sex as a whole. It's a sort of mentality that, as long as one's significant other is not aware of any infidelity, it's perfectly acceptable. Even encouraged, maybe, since the nightly hookup seems to be a cornerstone of the social scene.

I've met few attractive girls - attractive not solely in a physical sense, but in any respect - who stray from the norm. I could not trust my heart to someone who sees nothing wrong with declaring her love for me while, at the same time, doing God know what with God knows who. I've seen it at least twice in my first semester: someone laments their troubled relationship with a boyfriend or girlfriend back home, but takes every opportunity to hook up or sleep with a mess of other people at school.

...and then they realize they're on a nerd board...and all was then clear.

Anyways, I had 4 that count for myself with a few close calls (as in missed opportunities). I don't think getting tongued once when I was six counts. Currently without. Not really that big of a deal currently though.
