Samuel: "No. The Gamecube is a crappy console over all."

Samuel aimed right at Tom and shot another beam at him, and then one into the sky that arced down.

Samuel: "As is the Xbox."

Samuel slashed horizontally with the sword, making a wave of energy with it.

Samuel: "As is the PS2."

Samuel brought the blade down vertically, making a long wave of energy.

Samuel: "Consoles are crappy. Games are good."

Samuel held the sword in front of him.

Samuel: "Until consoles are different,"

Samuel started to gather energy in his hands.

Samuel: "one can not be deemed better than the others."

Samuel let a huge blast of energy explode from his hand, sending the sword itself right at Tom at around 300mph.

Tom snapped his fingers, and the first beam turned into an Iron Girder which dropped to the ground unceremoniously. He snapped again, and the second beam turned into a gleaming smile, which he wore on his face with pride. The third beam received a snap, too, and turned into a hoisted steel bar that Tom walked across, taking his merry time before the fourth wave of energy slammed him backward. It knocked him to the ground and the sword itself quivered as he tilted his head to the side and watched it stick in the place where his right eye used to be.

Tom: "Man, you're really accusatory tonight. I never said one was better than the others... I just like my Gamecube. It's powered by ATI graphics, the people who code 'Cube games do more with that little disc than most PS2 and Xbox developers, and dammit, it made multiplayer gaming fun without using Halo as a crutch."

Tom kicked up to his feet and pulled a small pouch out from the same place he pulled his sabre...

"Now, let me ask you again. It's not a videogame. Have you ever played The Marble Game?"

Samuel: "I've played marbles, but never 'The Marble Game'."

The sword reappeared in Samuel's hands and he walked forward, holding his sword out, but before he stepped onto the metal beam, he put his hand on the ground and got back up and started walking.

Samuel: "First thing I learned about marbles though... was very interesting."

Tom: "Indeed! Silicon Oxide, Magnesium Oxide, Calcium Oxide, Aluminum Oxide, Iron Oxide, and Phosphorus Carbonide. I think. All that Carbon and Oxygen makes for some interesting results."

Tom pulled from his pouch a single marble, which he tossed up and down in his hands.

"The way the marble game works is that you have to be inducted into the marble game by someone already in the marble game. You carry a marble with you all the time. When someone in the marble game pulls out their marble, you pull yours out too, or else you owe them a dollar. So here, take this."

He clapped his hands around the marble, and threw it at Sam, pulling out another marble as he did.

Once it got into close proximity with Sam, the marble exploded in a firey burst, a product of the Grey side's Alchemic abilities. Tom flashed his own marble...

Tom: "Oops, guess you owe me a dollar now."

Samuel: "I was taught... differently."

Samuel started moving forward, ignoring the scorch marks on his body, and his sword changed. It changed into a purble bag, a small one, but it was perfect for carrying marbles in.

Samuel: "It is a game that you only play when you think you'll win. If you lose, you lose your marbles and part of your pride. This game is a charade of the real game. Do you know how to play the real game?"

Samuel took a single marble out with only one hand. It was a cat's eye marble. His favorite one, this old bag was from years and years ago, all of them were gifts or trophies.

Samuel: "You're a fool still."

Tom: "Actually, no. The Marble, the thing is... It can be replaced with any object. It's another game you play only when you're sure you'll win. The point..."

He rolls his marble along the floor, and it instantly turns into a d20, which turns up. A natural 20. Critical strike chance.

"...Is to take your opponent..."

Tom stomped his foot, and a dome-shaped burst of raw psychic energy blew outward from him, threatening to give a massive headache in a 180^180 degree direction!

"...By surprise!"

Samuel: "That wasn't it then."

Samuel three his bag of marbles at Tom, it ripped open and blocked the attack. Samuel threw the cat eye towards the group of marbles. Amazingly, it hit them so they all went at Tom like bullets.

Tom: "Bullets, eh...? Well, let's play another game."

The bullets had seared his flesh, he rolled them off with a bodyshield of raw psychic energy, but could still feel the burn of their stinging spherical efficiency.

He pointed his finger at the arena walls in a gun shape, pulling it back as he spoke.

"BANG! Who'd I shoot?"
