| I don't really mind it... it just takes some getting used to. I got yelled at for saying merry christmas to customers, which is a rather hard habit to break. But saying happy holidays instead doesn't bother me.. I just have to remember.
If it makes everyone happy, then I don't mind. |

She has observed that trading insults prevents and substitutes for -- rather than constitutes -- free and open discussions of ideas. She also makes the point that Political Correctness is like cholesterol, there's a good kind and a bad kind. | I don't label anyone because as I've experienced you really never know what someone really is/where they are from. And it doesn't matter because it doesn't change who they are. PC just makes things more confusing and doesn't help at all because it doesn't eliminate the problem of labeling and grouping. And it also causes too much confusion. If someone considers someone from China/Japan/Korea,etc. as "Asian" and someone from India/Pakistan/Bangladesh as "Indian" then there are three races: Black, White, and Asian. And it's just stupid and confusing so THE END. | |||

PC gets to be a pain a lot...especially around the holiday time where we have to tip-toe around everyone's religion and make sure by no means do we mention the incorrect holiday to them or favor a certain holiday. Saying things such as "Happy Holidays" isn't too bad, but in a school near where I live, the Christmas tree has to be called the "Holiday Tree", which I think is completely ridiculous. There's still a menorah there and that isn't referred to as the "Holiday Candelabra", so I see no reason to change the name of the Christmas tree  . |
