Hey everyone, did a fair amount of searching and am still in need of some expert advice

I'd like to rip a mini-game from a Gameboy rom (The Gameboy Camera to be exact, which I believe is a .gbs romtype??) and then be able to use it as a stand alone rom.

In desperate need of someone to point me in the right direction, I can usually figure things out with a couple good links!

Thanks!!

No no no... .gbs is Game Boy music rips. You really can't just extract a minigame from a ROM, it's all one big executable file. You'd have to do a ton of ASM hacking and basically disassemble all the related code, then strip out unrelated things and reassemble it into a new ROM.

Two things:

1. I've seen the extension ".gbs" used for Super Game Boy-enabled games.
2. You can't rip mini-games and play them standalone. It just won't work.

It might work... but you'd need alot of ASM skills. I've seen it done with the GBA before but thats something entirly different.

But that's ".sgb" for Super Gameboy ._.; you sure you don't have it mixed up?

I asked in the Help forum to see if this would be ok:

Is there anyone out there proficient enough in ASM hacking that could do this for me for a little PayPal compensation? Thanks again for the replies.

You know, I don't think I've ever seen anyone offer money for this sort of thing before.

What's with the desperate need for this? As I recall, there was something like four minigames in GB Camera, and none of them were particularly noteworthy.
