Yeah thats the forcast for me also... I'm probably gonna' get school off tommorow because of freezing rain.

Holy shit, I got the first snow day in over eight years. Too bad I only had one class that I wasn't planning on going to anyway.

Still, I never thought I'd be around to see OSU shut down due to snow. I mean, we didn't close when there were dangerously low temperatures and all the lower public schools did.

How can you hate storms in Summer? I love summer storms. A break from dryness is nice, and everything smells all nice after a rain (in the country, anyway... cities are gross.) And I like to go out and sing and play in the rain, which I can do unashamedly since I have a house in the middle of nowhere.

Plus, if there is summer rain (winter rain sounds different) on the roof and a bit of thunder I am a lot more likely to be able to sleep well at night. It's soothing.

We got 7..and it's still coming down. Either that or it's the wind blowing it around.

We've gotten a lot of 1-2 inch accumulations. My college both times cancelled classes 10 AM and earlier, which sucks, because my earliest class of the week is at 10:30. Today it was sleeting and snowing, and just generally icy, so they cancelled classes 4:30pm and later, whereas my latest class through the entire week ends at 4:15pm. My roommate got out of a class, so he's happy about it, but he'll probably start complaining if he misses Physics (his favorite class) again, since both times classes were cancelled, he missed Physics.

Yeah, we're supposed to get huge amounts of ice and such, maybe some significant snow accumulations within today and tomorrow.

We're getting a fuckload here. Driving home from work today was rather slow and annoying, but at least the roads were cleared off and packed down enough that it was safe to drive as long as you practiced basic cluefulness. I'll be working from home tomorrow, and I hope I can get out of shoveling. I'm not averse to physical exertion, but shoveling feels Sisyphean to me because it's boring and it takes forever.

The right half of my driveway had one-foot drifts of snow, and the left half was bare. Needless to day, it's been pretty windy around here.

We might be getting up to 12 inches of snow (30cm) tomorrow. I win.

(...OK, no I don't. But I'll be inside working so it's all good.)

Waah waah waah. Try Northern Alberta. It's been -20°C to -30°C all week, everything is covered with a layer of ice and then some snow on top, and the sun sets at ~5:30PM.

Some rain is nice but when it's really coming down and it lasts a few days its hard to go outside and do things. So I don't think they're that bad but I don't think they're great either.

There's a very thin blanket of snow on the ground here, and it has been here for a while now. The snow is entirely gone on all roads, and such (didn't last long there, since it wasn't much in the first place). And this snow will probably rain away in a few days (probably by early next week.)

I love storms in the summer. Looking out the window with the rain pouring down and lightning flashing and thunder crashing and wind blowing is awesome. Winter storms, however?

I love summer storms. They're amazingly fun. I only like winter storms because they get me out of school for a week.
