That's what the PSP's sleep function is for. To stop gameplay so you can pick up on it where you left off later. So if you're low on batteries in a middle of a fight, just put it into sleep mode, recharge it, and continue playing after it's done (or play while it's charging).
Ok. So you don't lose your game. How does that make not being able to play until you can plug it in again not still suck?

Not being able to resume play on a portable gaming system until you can plug it in again or get new batteries is an issue for all owners of portable gaming systems. We all have to deal with it. The only thing different is the frequency in which you have to do so. Sure, the PSP's battery life isn't as good as the DS's battery life, but it is hardly terrible. Not to say the DS isn't bad, though. They're both good systems.

Wrong.
I own both of these handheld consoles, and each one has it's own advantages. The PSP is not better in every way to the DS. To cut it down short:
PSP => Great for emulation (although I wouldn't know too much about it since I upgraded the firmware to 3.03 GAH!). Good for music, images, video. Ok-ish for web browsing. Basically, it's an excellent multimedia device, not a great gaming device.
DS => Feels great, plays great, game library is great, the perfect gaming handheld.

I just watched that video and I now feel alot more stupid. That would defenitely not suprise me. The PSP with three title of the same name is way more innovative.
the original syphon filter was good but apperently its outdated by the times and the psp version blows every other version in the series out of the water.
I do not agree on your subject of PSP being amazing, a cousin of mine had it, and it broke at a small fall, while my DS has fallen from my bed (King size) like 5 times and still works perfectly. Also, Nintendo's DS does has better online play, and I expect something great for Super Smash Bros Brawl.
