Hello all,
Well, after long months, I'm finished with my SMW hack. It's called Mario:The Quest on Quiet Island. It has 8 worlds (54 levels). It can be found at my site.

http://toegames.sitesled.com/

Or at smw central when they upload it.

Story:
It has been six months since the princess has been missing. Mario has gone on a boat trip looking for her wherabouts; he discovers some islands and begins his search there.

Here are some screenies too.

I hope you guys enjoy this as much work that I've put into it.

Blah, this is too annoyingly hard for me. (I don't like savestates, and I don't like having to use them due to koopa jumps, or bullet bills with Pirahna Plant fireballs and half a square to dodge in).

Oh well, it was something to do while that youtube video loaded...

It's a pretty decent hack. I haven't finished it yet but I find it's pretty hard. Taking out a few enemies in an area where there are a lot my not be a bad idea.

So which rom am I supposed to use this on?

Don't give me that look. I applied the patch to a good working copy of Super Mario World (U) [!].smc The byte size is 524,288 if that helps any.

Koitenshin, Does it work fine? I mean, I did make the hack from that rom you mentioned. So, it should work fine.

By the way, just to let you guys know, this is the first SMW hack that I ever finished. I did make SMW hacks in the past but they weren't like this one. (most of them were scrapped anyway.)

It simply says it is a bad rom and crashes ZSNES, of course it could be the version I am using. Will edit later if I get it working.

Snes9x reported a bad checksum, but it still ran fine. Maybe bad checksums can crash ZSNES?

Snes9X reported bad checksum also and neither will run it. They're also reporting different CRC32's

:EDIT: If someone could pm me the "needed file" it would be very appreciated.

For Me, Checksum has never been a problem.
A Huge amount of ROMs I play have Bad Checksum but are still perfectly emulatable.
