I my contacts. It's been years since I've had glasses, and when I do have to wear them, they drive me insane. Contacts, however, don't bother me a bit.

I've never worn contacts. I don't see the point in my case, because I like the way glasses look on me... and because half the time, I'm wearing my glasses as much for the yellow tint and polarization as for the prescription.

Arrgh dilation D:

I despise it. They usually administer around 7-9 drops to both eyes, not all at once though. What I hate most is the waiting, I don't enjoy three hours without being able to move or eat anything, with only a half-charged iPod to accompany me...

Not to mention the burning sensation those drops give you.

As for contacts, I don't really care. I'm happy with my +10.25 glasses, they're a part of me

I think the major reason we mainly dislike things in our eye is because it is closer to a mucous membrane than our skin and since eyes tend to freak when a grain of sand or anything gets in them you tend to not like anything in them. Dialation drops burn because of the toxins in them that stimulate or relax the muscles as I said before.

Never had to take eye drops for anything, surprisingly.

I reckon that I'd be in the "I hate this but it has to be done" category myself.

My great grandmother had laser eye surgery it worked perfectly but they said she couldn't cry for a week then her nephew died and she cried and it ruined her eyes permanently. She could still see but so barely that the text has to be like size 36 minimum.

Sometimes the laser surgery has complications, especially with very old people... but all in all it's quite safe and is above and beyond previous technologies.

The jury's still out on whether or not I'll have it done on my left (dominant) eye to seal some holes in the retina... so I'm gonna keep thinking that laser surgery is 100% effective =P

Last year I got good with them for one reason or another

but they suck pretty much 100% of the time. I can only imagine what putting in contacts is like.

Some comedian whose name I don't remember summed that up nicely. "Put the glass in your eye, it won't hurt!"

Blood? Meh. Guts? Whatever. Eyeballs? GAAAAAAAH MAKE IT STOP. I've always been squeamish over eyes. I hated it when kids at school would pull down their eyelids and show the lining. Or flip the top eyelids inside out. I'm getting grossed out just thinking about it. I'm not sure why, but it literally makes my eyes feel weird.

I wore rigid contacts for a few years, but I didn't have to mess with my eyelids to get them in and out. They were small, so I just opened my eyes wide and poked them in. To remove them, I used a rubber plunger. None of this seemed gross at all. I suppose that the awesomeness of ditching my fugly plastic brown glasses outweighed the weirdness of messing with my eyes, and nothing I had to do was uncomfortable.

I can't remember the last time I used eye drops, but I always hated getting them done at the doctor's because the doctor would pull my lid down to make more room.
