| yeah, lots of them.
one girl in my global history class drew a picture of hitler with a crown to exemplify absolutism (not even correct - absolutist societies have kings/queens, hitler's germany was a dictatorship) not only that, but she wrote stuff that was antisemitic in english class. And openly admits to being/loving nazis and hating jews. Also, I saw a group of neo-nazis drug-dealing at night, and they almost assaulted me for being a witness. there's swastikas on the elementary school playground and MS/HS bathrooms. The KKK isn't as bad, I suppose, but they do exist. what pisses me off is that this is accepted in public school here. I seriously feel like beating up these fools (both male and female) for their ignorance. while I am neither african american nor jewish (actually, I'm german in ancestry myself, I find this behavior unacceptable and highly racist. I would say something, but theres just too many of them. And, as far as I know, no one has caused any violence yet. Just drug dealing and gang activity. It is also a well known fact that a lot of people take steroids here. Even those who compete in sports (there are never any tests at the Varsity/JV levels) Hell, an alumni came to watch a wrestling match, sat next to me, and went into a roid rage when I got up, breaking another guys jaw because he said something. and it's not just rumors. They've been seen shooting up, and even admit to it themselves. Hell, the guy I was talking about got kicked out of college for destroying a computer lab. and this is a small mountain town. Big cities have far less problems -- probably from the long-term effects of diversity. I cant wait till I graduate and move off to college -- to get the hell out of here.
