I heart my 1280x1024 lcd screen.
Though I only use 1024x768. |

I stayed with 800x600 or 1024x768 until I got this 19" LCD about a year ago (they look best at their native resolution) ... mine is 12ms, though

I had to go with the wide screen. They had a full screen monitor that was more money, yet the same size, but with 2ms. But since I want to use this mainly for games, I had to go wide screen.

Mine's a 1280x800 LCD, and it looks like crap at any other resolution.

I like my two CRT monitors that are both connected to my PC and standing next to each other on my desk here.
I don't know the exact size of them (both are pretty much the same), though I guess they're somewhat average size. They seem to be 17", but I'm not too sure. They're both running at 1280x1024. That resolution seems to be a bit too much for them, but I don't feel very comfortable with anything smaller. I wonder when my eyes will start to mess up because of the (relatively) small text. .. now I'm starting to wonder how my desk can carry those things.. and my TV as well |

Grah, I forgot which size my LCD is at.
It's native resolution is 1280x1024. Almost about the same as I used on my CRT monitor. I still have my CRT monitor and plan on connecting it eventually. |

This laptop is 1280x800, and while things are a bit different than in a more squarish resolution that other people usually have, the wideness can be quite useful at times. My PC has an older monitor at 1024x768, though, and it isn't too bad either. 800x600 looks horrific now that I look back on what I had at one time on the Win98 PC upstairs...

I've been using a 1280x1024 CRT for a long time. Well, actually I replaced it with another 1280x1024 CRT a few months ago, but oh well.

I've been using a 1280x1024 LCD monitor since the beginning of 2007. My old monitor had a 1024x768 resolution. I'm still trying to get used to a 1280x1024 resolution because I used a 1024x768 resolution for nearly 5 years.

To be 100% honest, I think the reason I don't use 1280x1024 is because I can't actually see well enough to function at that resolution. I'd need to crank up the font sizes of everything, and then what would I have? A huge desktop with really accurately rounded letters . Plus, I would lose precision with the mouse, because I wouldn't be able to see exactly what pixel I'm clicking on. Not to mention I do pixel art occasionally, and the 10x zoom of mspaint wouldn't be big enough for me to work well.
Not to mention, I actually don't do anything that requires that much desktop space. I'm already used to switching windows and stuff, so increasing the resolution would only get in my way. |

I thought 1024x728 was the norm, but apparently not. I guess becuse most LCD screens are at 1280x1024 and... heh the resolution keeps increasing.
On my old CRT, I used 1024x940 or something like that. Anything higher looked blurry on it. :/ My LCD screen is much sharper, despite having slightly higher resolution. And it doesn't have brightness problems, unlike some other LCD screens I seen... |

I use 1280x1024 on a 20" LCD, it's nice. I wanted 1600x1200 though like I used on my CRT but that would have cost a fortune. It makes up for that though by not being a giant blurry piece of junk that heats up the house. |
