This is a recent television show that came out in Canada. It has been really, really hyped and actually a good deal of debate went on about it. Well, this evening came the second episode and it was brilliant. I know that the majority of this board is not Canadian and at that, those Canadians here, probably don't watch CBC. However, I can't stress enough how funny this show is.

I have a link to the first episode on google video. I really suggest giving it a watch and then finding the second ep.

I forgot to watch it two days ago.

Dammit.

But I did listen to it a week ago, and learned new terms I didn't know.

Looking forward to the next one =D

EDIT: two days ago, not yesterday

Torrent to episode 2!

yaaay!

I really liked this episode's depiction of women growing up. It really brought forward some good questions for families, Muslim or otherwise, to ponder. Baber, the conservative Muslim, is pretty funny in it and you really sympathize with the character. Yusif and his wife make a hilarious side story. I thought it was absolutely brilliant.

Good, someone's actually torrenting the thing because I can't watch it due to work commitments.

Canada has a reputation for good/intelligent comedies, it's just that... we miss more often than we hit.

I think Babar took the cake again in this episode. He is just such a well constructed character and despite his ideas he really is a loveable, childlike character.

Although this show is brilliantly constructed. Muslim community has a problem. Radio talk show host reports on it. There is the backlash. Strife within the community due to his actions. I mean so far it has followed a constant formula, but it is fairly deep and unique for a lot of sitcoms.
