im making a hack of Super mairo all stars, i posted a link video of what i did so far. i need help with palette editing though. as you can see its way incomplete.

hmm... well, I really wouldn't call this a hack as it doesn't do much. And you won't get very far when it comes to killing the Layer 2 BGs down to 8-bit. But if you insist, I can tell you that the basic palette data starts at 0x230C1 and is peppered onward 'till about 0x24000. The Mario/Luigi/Fire palette is somewhere else and I don't feel like going that deep into my notes to find them.

However, I suggest you learn about 16-bit color and figure out how to find the other palettes yourself.

it was an idea that popped in to my head recently, but hey thanks anyways.

i just wanted to see how it would be like to have the orginal mario GFX over the 16 bit backgrounds and music. i thought it might be something you guys might like.

be careful with that signature, wart, an admin will change it in an attempt to make you look like a total idiot. apparently their panties curl up really, really tight when they see plaintext signatures
