Standing on top of a building, the fourth and final Guardian of X, Phantom, observed the city below. As nighttime approached, he could see the lights turning on, finally letting people know it was time for them to rest. However, he noticed there was someone down there with a peculiar outfit and movement style, as well as some familiarity. Throwing a kunai at the nearest wall, he watched and waited for their reaction. |

| The kunai did nothing, and in fact he was not familiar with whom he tried to scare, because he was right behind him. If Phantom spun around to look, he would noticed that he had ran into one of the Organization Navis named IllusionMan.
IllusionMan was a Navi of a relative tall height, five feet or so. He wore a dark grey bodysuit was glowing blue lines running down the sides and his front from either side of his chest to his legs. Silver bracers covered his forearms and his hands were equipped with silver clawed gauntlets. His boots were also silver with the ends beyond the toes pointing upward, making them lethal weapons for kicking. Grey armor covered his torso and shoulders. His face was covered by a gas mask while white bandages completely covered the rest of his head save for his right eye, which glowed bright orange. Attached to the back of his armor was a pair of skeletal metallic wings which under the glow of the moonlight gave him a deadly apperance. IllusionMan merely looked at him with a single-eyed glare, one which showed Phantom that he is one who is unafraid of the deadliness that was radiating off his aura. In fact, he actually pitied the reploid, even though to him, looked like a Navi with a hidden Navi Icon. His glowing orange eye was piercing down into Phantom's own eyes... before he slowly turned into a pitch black mist, echoing these words to Phantom in his mechanical raspy voice before he truly vanished from sight. "Obi-Wan Kenobi once said "Your eyes can deceive you. Don't trust them." ... How can we tell what is truly reality and what is simply fantasy? ... What is there that we can truly believe? ...What is the truth? ...Is any of it real or is this all just an elaborate illusion?" o o o On past events: At the stroke of midnight after New Years came, Alia suddenly had contractions and her water broke. The entire base was in a stir as they helped the woman to the hospital area of the base, where minutes later, she and David, along with the main Hunters welcomed to the world their newborn child, Rebecca. Netto and company were notified of the great news the day after Rebecca was born. Other than that, all three data programs were stolen, and The Gate was cracked open, unleashing the monster Omega back into the cyber world, and under control of the Organization's leader. Everything was getting worse than it had gotten better. Today the base was put on high alert status. With Omega now in possession of the Organization, all official brands (Officials, Net Saviors, Red Alert, Maverick Hunter HQ) were alerted and on stand-by incase there is an attack by the Organization. Alia cursed the thought of having a child when there could be a possible war happening, but it's already too late, and she is still happy she and David are going to raise a small family. o o o It may be daytime somewhat in Ajjina, but in Sim-Battle City was a different story. It was mere minutes after Phantom's encountr with IllusionMan that they had left the Cafe that was finally closing up. "Sheesh, I can't believe all that people tossing you cash for listening to you play your sax." Zero chuckled at the green-haired ninja and their card-playing bounty hunter, holding a carrying case which held his saxaphone within. "It's great isn't it? You two said I wasn't able to play such an instrument, but I fucking proved you two WRONG!" "We get it Zero. Still, I highly doubted you would be a fan of Jazz," Spider said. The blond Navi grinned. "Heh, that's how much you don't know me Spider." After awhile, Zero and Spider had returned back to base, but Marino remained behind. As Phantom noticed the peculiar Navi, he turned around, fast... and was not very prepared for the thing that was behind him. Taking one step back instinctively, his face was still a mask, showing no emotion... and while the NetNavi spoke to him, he stood silent, merely waiting. Then, once he felt certain he had left, at least from most of his senses, he lowered his head slightly, closing his eyes, and sighed. What had been that? "...hn?" he wondered, as he turned around, he could see Marino beginning track him, even if she hadn't located him yet. Well, it was going to be interesting soon... He began running towards the next building, making sure it was not in an angle she could see, and dropped a small device in the process. Let us see how she passed the first test... |

| She hopped up the tall building before landing on its roof, looking around. She frowned.
"Better use it then..." She went through her files, before selecting one of her cross modes and undergone a quick transformation. Her armor changed to navy-blue and light purple armor with a mask now covering her face which was part of her altered helmet resembling Phantom's, with a red scarf around her neck, a Katana strapped to her back, and two katar-like weapons on her arms. The purple boots reached up to her knees with protective pink and dark blue anklets and bracelets that served for armor around certain areas, and the bodysuit a crimson purple color. She was in Phantom Cross mode. And immediatly, she senses the trap on the next building. She took imediate notice before running across the roof but instead of leaping over, she dropped back down into the alleys, and began tracking down the energy signature now clear and present to her. If Phantom himself was hiding himself using the shadows, it won't do much good for him, he was already discovered. |

| As soon as Marino finished the transformation, Phantom noticed she seemed to have found the first disk, without going after it. Well, that was nothing, definitely. After all...
When he detected her running down one of the alleys, he pressed a button. Several disks on the walls flared to life, before smoke began to pour from them. However, this was not regular smoke - instead, it was meant to disturb special senses, leaving her stuck with only her five regular ones. Even as he ran, he began leaving traces for her to follow. It wouldn't take long... |

| Her katar weapons glowed, and she fired offf kunai, all that struck the discs and rendered them useless before Phantom could spring the trap. She wall jumped between the two buildings, landed on the roof and forming her energy shurken sped forward on it before zooming past the reploid and lands a feet away from him in front.
She raised a finger and tsk tsk tsk'd him, spinning around on her heels and smirking. o o o "What the hell is going on!?" cried out the leader of the Organization. He was doing important tests when "Omega" suddenly exploded. All that remained were two balls of light. The first was a female Navi dressed in white armor with a large white headdress with two flags adorning the sides and waist-length bluish-white hair coming out from underneath. In her right hand was a cerulean staff topped with a pair of golden wings. The second was a male Navi wearing dark purple armor. The front of his helmet was designed like a skull with a single tall red horn protruding upward and a teal-colored cap hung from around his neck. In his right hand he carried a large scythe with a glowing blue blade. Before he knew it, the two had completely vanished, leaving behind their "prison body" they were trapped inside. How interesting for a plot twist, Project Omega was supposed to be behind the gate which was released, only to serve as a carrier to the TRUE keepers of the gate, the Keeper of Life and the Keeper of Death. Damn stupidity of our ancestors... "Damn it..." was the only words the Organization leader muttered. The two Navis however had other plans now that they were released. | While she tried pursuing him, as soon as she got to the roof she found that he had seemingly vanished. None of her senses could detect him clearly, bar the fact that he was still in the area.
However, she could hear two shufflings from behind her, heading to two sides, before a kunai was thrown to the side of her foot, bouncing off the pavement and onto another wall. In fact... that rooftop was lower than the others - it was placed such that all the other buildings served as walls. How curious... (OoC: Ninja Trick. One that could hide even from his own senses, and therefore, from the senses of weaker ninja. He'll reappear next post, however. Just react for now.) |

| She reacted almost instantanously, AreaGrabbed herself to another portion of the roof, in fact, the roof near the Arena Stadiums. The wind blew briskly, her red scarf fluttering in the wind as she ripped out her katana from behind her. | |||

The AreaGrab fizzed and failed, as another kunai flew to her side, avoiding her by inches. "Leaving so soon?" Phantom asked, his voice spreading through the rooftop, as if coming from everywhere around her. (OoC: Shadow Tag: Phantom traps his opponent in the arena, disabling escape abilities until either him or his opponent are defeated.) Then, from behind her, she could hear another shuffling - before Phantom jumped at her, attempting a strike at her back. |

| The real Phantom Cross Marino was outside the area, the shadow clone vanishing upon getting attacked.
She smiled deviously, her katar orbs glowing. A REAL ninja would fight without using traps to give him or her a high advantage, and if Phantom was a real shinobi, he would fight her without trapping an opponent in a closed-off enviroment, that is if he wasn't attacking an obvious clone. Face me you mystery ninja... She knows her opponent is a shinobi much like herself, what she doesn't know is the identity. |

| OOC: Be advised and forewarned, for the following posts has less or likely pissed you off for crafty shinobi tricks already played. This battle is very, very, different... relying only on the Art of Shinobi, and all that Marino has familiarized herself with.
Marino would test her skills as a ninja, but not in the public where possible bystanders could get caught in crossfire. She was nowhere NEAR said roof where Phantom was. If He knew any better, he would of noticed that when she wall jumped, the one that headed his way was a shadow clone. The real Marino was jumping away towards the forest area at the park. The last time she used the forest area for a shinobi battle was against another ninja named Alexhaur Taido. He was a relativly strong ninja, one who gave her a run for her money. She forgotten who was the victor of that one shinobi battle, but she did remember using a doppelganger of Phantom.EXE for minor help. She's gotten much better. | A long energy chain latched onto her leg, coming from the shadows. "No escaping for you, girl," a voice whispered in her ear. If she hadn't realized it yet, this area was not one for many inhabitants - in fact, it was too empty.
The chain did not illuminate its origin point, however, which was in a peculiar location. In fact... it was stuck to the wall? 'Having many eyes is an useful thing, isn't it?' he wondered idly, not speaking, before the chain began pulling back slowly. |

| OOC: I said "open battlefield"...
She smirked, as the orbs on her katar-weapons glowed, yet again the attakc had collided with another shadow clone. Swinging her arm before her, they fired a trio of energy kunai towards Phantom's location whilist dragging the katana along the ground causing sparks to fly as she sprinted forward, slashing her sword in the direction her opponent was more likely to dodge towards. If Phantom manages to avoid it, she quickly leaps up towards him, forming an energy shuriken and sent it flying with a deadly arc. "So, my mystery ninja reveals himself... Phantom. What the fuck do you want other than wanting to kill me and my friends?" She's unhindered by the Shadow Tag, because Phantom Cross neutralizes field traps. |

To her surprise, it collided with... nothing. Instead, a disk exploded, the energy of the chain flailing around and around. A manhole cover flew at her, trying to strike her back, but if she looked at the throw's direction, she'd see nobody yet. "It's not going to be so easy, finding me. But... you're not who you seem to be. Who are you?" he asked, his voice taking a peculiar tone, as if curious. Right now, he was on the top of the building above, on the other side. If she avoided the manhole cover, she'd notice there was a net of sorts on the space between those two buildings... |

| Too bad... Marino dropped down as more of her shadow clones were getting attacked, under a veil of some sorts to neglect any damage for a short while.
"You should know who I am already you pansy. Just quit the tricks and duel me already!" She would force him to draw out his weapons by releasing several wheels of shuriken flying towards him. Phantom Cross can indicate where her opponent really is, no matter what the hell he does to conceal himself so it's pretty much useless. |

| Unfortunately for her, there were at least a dozen targets for her, all of them looking quite the same.
"I know who you are not. You are not Phantom. Why don't you remove that fake skin and reveal your real face, even if for an instant?" he asked, even as she triggered another trap - a dozen of faceless, armorless clones (similar to a Pantheon, but without a face) surrounded her, all ready for battle. "Fighting them may be the choice you'll take, but would it be better for you to tire yourself before fighting me?" |

| As before, no matter how many astrological projections conjured, Phantom Cross can easily pinpoint the real target, so it's useless. The more he stalls, so will Marino. "If you are a true shinobi, drop your stupid little Shadow Viel and face me like a real ninja!" She growled as she undergone another Cross transformation.
Her helmet changed form completely to resemble Fefnir's with a part of her old helmet jutting forward into a pair of golden horns as a visor appeared over the eyes with a white fang shaped frame surrounding the face, armed with two Knuckle Busters. Versus Fefnir’' design, her Knuckle Busters were smaller and were far sharper on the outer edges, indicating a preference for slashing, rather than crushing. Pinkish red armor is clamped on the side of her thighs, the bodysuit black. She also wore thick red boots with thick gold anklets and bracelets, but her greaves and gauntlets around the upper arms and body became more compact, the body itself was covered with a pattern of flames. Her shoulder gauntlets which the left side had a short stubby spike pointing up was similar to a cross between Fefnir's shoulder gauntlets and FootMan's. She flared up considerably, dispelling the darkness briefly before shoving both Knuckle Busters down into the ground and unleashing a searing wave of fire all around. If the surrounding enemies got washed down, they'll resemble molten metal. "Now..." With the ring dozen taken out, flames surrounded her before she exited her Cross Link, now in her normal armor, but in Quicksilver Style. |

As soon as she powered down and changed forms, he made a 'tsk, tsk' sound, and she could see him from the side of a building, standing perfectly in balance. "How pathetic... you call yourself a ninja, and you wear so little in the manner of disguise?" he asked, sizing her up and down. "Not to mention you aren't even attractive enough. My own sister would look better than you in it, and considering how I am not supposed to have such feelings, it just goes to indicate how lacking in attraction you are." He then glanced at her face. "I suppose you also believe I to be a murderer?" |

"Well..." David picked up the Final Gun chip, "This kills the enemy..." He set it down and picked up the Black Weapon chip, "This kills the enemy and everyone else around you." Alia sweatdropped, as she put the baby to sleep. "David.... are you upset about what transpired a half hour ago?" "About how our ancestors are incredibly stupid by putting the dangerous Navis in a carrier program that we all thought was the ultimate program of destruction? Duh... now that the two Navis Pandora and Prometheus are on the loose... shit's just getting more fucked up." Alia walked over and kissed him on the lips. "Shh, do not worry... for now we must offer as much help as we can to our friends." "You're right... so, how was Leviathan when she found out she was going to be our daughter's Net Navi in a few years?" "She was happy when I told her this morning." "I should head ot the R&D. Dr. Hikari sent me some data about a possible new PET. Though the name is unknown, I suggested he called the next set of PETs, the PET GX; GX standing for Generation X." "Why does that sound oddly familiar to some old wrestling fandom name?" Alia questioned suddenly. David shrugged. o o o "C'mere you little bitch... and face me unless you are a coward..." She grinned, her battle mask deployed down to cover her face all except her lips. She was currently using her main weapons; Beam Chakrams, and her sub weapon is the Windmill Shuriken combined with her Aninsutouru. She waited for the right time to attack with the Windmill / Aninsutouru combo attack. If her plan worked, then Phantom's Shadow Tag will be "uninstalled" for the remainder of battle whenever he likes it or not. Alrighty now, I have a good idea where he really is. I need to wait, and draw him out unless the little fucker is a wimp and scared to actually fight me. God help his soul he isn't a sexist little freak. |
