They use the MBC3, which from all the documents I've read, tops out at 32K of SRAM even though it seems like it should be able to do 64K (which could just mean no game ever used that much with it). All GBC games I know of except the camera and possibly a few other unusual cartridges used SRAM. The camera has a completely different memory map, and it'd be rather silly to emulate on a PSP anyway, except perhaps the new models with cameras in them. So, I can't imagine why they wouldn't save. |

Yeah, I've got OE-B.
Pretty amazing. Used Popstation to rip and convert a few PSX games with no hassle at all, and they run perfectly. GPSP (gba emulator) does use all save types, by the way. |

The near-total lack of wrestling and boxing games on DS, even in Japan, is mainly what has annoyed me. Knowing full well it could handle titles such as No Mercy with or without online play only makes it harder to bear. I'll be satisfied if I succeed in having a PSone wrestling game run. Edit: It would appear to be that no loader software or a UMD in the slot is needed for at least this ISO. I moved the loader back to the hard drive, and that game still runs from Memory Stick in the XMB's Game menu.. |

Can you tell a little more about it?
And hmm, with PS1 games running full speed, that sounds interesting. Maybe with a price drop, I'd actually consider getting a PSP. |

...I'd love to have a PSP just for homebrew/emulation stuff but the firmware updating process sounds like a bitch and a half. And it just keeps getting more complex too. |

A link to it would be nice, too. |

Tried that custom version yet? It's incredible. I mean, running PSone Final Fantasy games is good (I have my Final Fantasy VII listed on eBay), but having the all-time favorite Mega Man X4 at full speed with sound on a handheld? Pic. I've played it on PS1, PS2, PC, and PSP. Though, not the Saturn one yet or likely ever. I'm planning to get rid of that system.
I needed to go from 2.6>2.71>1.5>3.02 OE-A>3.02 OE-B to use the upgrade. Not many PSone games will fit on a 1GB stick, so I often run NES and SNES instead. The 128MB stick is for retail UMD save files. What's cool is that Pokemon Gold will save on PSP. The emulators on GBA and DS I've tried so far lack it's savetype. Maverick Hunter X plays very similar to X8, it also has the same sound effects for nearly everything. Then again... That's rather commonly done. Meh. I didn't like the new capsule placements. They're in odd places, although the original X1 had those such as the leg part which were strange too. And for Advent Children, I decided to get a UMD. Wasn't keen on a Japanese-only DVD (the US one is scarce locally, like SNK-published games and anything Castlevania related tend to be around here) or downloading it. Nice art direction and soundtrack. The plot didn't make sense, as I just got halfway through FFVII last year and it's save file went corrupt, the other saves on that card are fine however. |
