Well, it sounds like you are competent enough to go and read the FAQs and follow the rules, so approval shouldn't be a problem there. Although, this should still be in ROM-Hacking.
That being said, I hope you get approval on the spot, and I welcome you to Acmlm's. If you would like to take a good look at some hacks, you can check out some of the SMW hacks that float around here, or you can go to SMW Central. I also recommend Drewseph's Super Metroid hack, Super Metroid Redesign. Music hacking is a good talent to have around here. I'm getting into it myself, starting with SMB3. I'll say this: There's an understanding barrier you have to get through to start hacking this, and while you may have some skills in the composition area, it is no good unless you break that barrier. But nonetheless, welcome, and good luck! |

I would have tried to post this in the Rom Hack discussion forum, but I don't think it's important enough to ask approval for.
I am a songwriter who loves video games. I pride myself on being able to write in just about any style of music. If there is anyone out there working on a Rom Hack, or any kind of original game, and wants excellent music for their game, please reply here, or e-mail me at funkytoad69 at hotmail dot com. I can give you samples of my work, but only once I've spoken with you. Aside from that, I am really interested in Rom Hacking; could anyone let me know what any truly high quality hacks out there are? I think eventually I am going to do a hack of my own, but I'd like to study the work of others first, and really familiarize myself with everything that has been done already, and even more so familiarize myself with the technical aspect of it. Thanks! Erik |
