There's an Fx in the center. So what, is Adobe having their own version of Firefox now? |

Cool, thanks. I was just looking at some various tech websites and all I saw was the "these icons suck/are unique" arguments. |

here's what google turned up:
http://stellify.net/visualize-express/adobe-cs3-program-icons-alphabet-soup-on-a-color-wheel-and-what-they-mean/ specifically, here are the abbreviations matched with the names of the programs, with asterisks marking uncertain matches: AE - After Effects Ai - Illustrator Au - Audition Aw - Authorware Br - Bridge CF - ColdFusion Co - Contribute Cp - Captivate Di - Director Dw - Dreamweaver En - Encore DVD FB - Flex Builder* FH - FreeHand Fl - Flash FM - FrameMaker Fw - Fireworks Fx - Flex Gl - GoLive IC - InCopy ID - InDesign JR - JRun/JobReady* LC - LiveCycle LR - LightRoom PM - PageMaker Pr - Premiere Ps - Photoshop RH - RoboHelp Sb - Soundbooth VC - Version Cue* while i don't like the idea of the icons very much, it is somewhat easier to tell different programs apart; with the cs2 icons, photoshop and imageready looked darn near identical. |

Oh, and has anyone released a GUIDE to these icons so I know how many apps are in this suite? |

Well how much does Photoshop cost now? About as much as a decent used car?
Funny that they charge so much for a PDF creator when OpenOffice does it for free. Speaking of free, FoxIt is a nice PDF viewer that doesn't suck balls. |

And even then you can only use the reader to, you know, READ stuff. I remember when Acrobat itself cost... well... more than I could afford. |

Well of course it sucks balls, it's probably the only free thing they make. |

Adobe Paint... Just think of the ramifications! Ready your mob adornments! |

I think I'll stick to paint. |

Flash brought nothing but bad advertisements into the world for me, and Adobe brought nothing but bloated documents and system-crashing memory leaks to me, so generally I'd go beyond the icons and say Adobe sucks, especially for making software far more expensive than I can afford.
But these icons... Gah! I wouldn't like them even if I liked adobe. |

I fail to see what is "graphical" about this -- it's text! And not even descriptive text!! There surely would be a way to design/unify the Macromedia and Adobe icons so that they are clearly identifiable both as a set AND have some individual significance... right? |

It seems like a company known for its graphic design software could come up with better icons then squares with letters in them. |

These icons prove one thing:
Stupid is the new "smart". |

...what the ef mang. Good thing we only use CS2 in the office. My editor's head would... how you say, asplode? |

Not sure about most of them, but I definitely like the old Photoshop and Illustrator icons better. |

Nice design, horrible implementation. I mean... what's wrong with an icon that shows you what the software does or has a snazzy logo?
I couldn't name three-quarters of those apps. |
