For the record, like I said in IRC earlier. If you have 'C' 'D' and 'E' drives. Than you have THREE partitions. Doesn't matter if the partitions each take up an entire drive, they're still partitions. |

I've never had any reason to partition. I always just left it like it is. C: and D: and E: drives. |

I don't have a partition on my drive. I have 2 HD's, one of which has a copy of Windows Nemesis in an ISO, but I can't even see that drive anywhere I look for it. And neither of them are NTFS, they're FAT32, I think. |

The NTFS module isn't loaded by default on the Ubuntu LiveCD, and that version has no write support anyway.
The GParted LiveCD has safe write support if you mount the partition with ntfs-3g |

this thread has nothing to do with Linux, ~_~
See if you can (or a friend) can make Ubcd4Win made, it sometimes helps with Windows problems. Why can't you just use the Windows install CD though for partitioning? |

I do not have access to another computer with a burner, as that was the only one WITH a burner.
However, if there was a way to make a boot disk for XP on a floppy, I would be interested in hearing it. |

Get (and burn) a BootCD with some disk utilities.
There was a good one, but I can't remember it anymore... |

Hey,
Wel, not too long ago my computer crashed. Hell, it won't even boot into WIndows. After I get past the loading screen, I get this BSOD: STOP: c0000221 {Bad Image Checksum} The image urlmon.dll is possibly corrupt. The header checksum does not match the computed checksum. This is where nothing else happens and I can't even load my Ubuntu install disk up to format and install it on my HD. All I can use (And which I'm using right now) is the Live CD to run it. Any suggestions on how to format this POS Dell is appreciated. |
