It's good, yes.. but greated album ever? Not in my books. I'd be hard pressed to even put it on my top 20 greatest albums ever. It'd probably make the top 100 though ![]() |

I have a funny story about the band REM. When I was in my junoir year of high school I live in Italy with a host family. Actually, it was more like a host mother. She was single and had this boyfriend who would come over sometimes for dinner. So he was talking to me one night at dinner, he asked me do you know them band "rem"- pronounced as one word as in the rem cycles yopu have when you sleep. Anyway, I was trying to figure out what in hell he was talking about until I realized he meant R.E.M. - pronouncing each letter seperately. He was a wierdo. |

You know what? I'm going to say that this is a god damned excellent album. I'd never sat down and just listened to it end to end. But it is a very deep, dark, and skillfully done piece. Pretty much close to perfect. |

I'm going to go off and give it a listen. I haven't really listened to REM for quite a while, they kind of got replaced in my music library by a lot of industrial stuff. |

I'm pretty sure that REM's Automatic For The People is the best album ever.
