The TSA for the doors are mirrored. Literly there is a set of 4 tiles I belive and then they are flipped. If you are looking for it I have no idea where it is stored, but I know there should be some TSA there.
I know some people have done new GFX for doors so hopefully they can tell you. |

I just need to figure out how to change the middle section, and then mirror it or something. Thanks a lot though, that really helped. |

I did something like this a (long) while back, but I forgot how I did it. MegaDog knows the locations of the ROM in which the object definitions are stored. Perhaps someone else knows... I used to have it but it was lost in a HD crash.
The door uses tile $A0 for its door. Perhaps you can use the PPU viewer to find it. You'd also have to write code so that either they flip the tiles or use a different object for the doors. All I did was make it symmetrical for mine so that when it is flipped, it looks the same. Another thing is, you'd have to design your door around the palette limitations that Metroid has. The door looks kickass though. |

I was bored so I made new doors for the original Metroid, but I can't find the TSA data for the back end of the doors to edit it. I know they go like this:
LEFT: RIGHT: 0f 1010 0F0F 0f 1f 1010 0F0F 1f 2f 1010 0F0F 2f 2f 1010 0F0F 2f 1f 1010 0F0F 1f 0f 1010 0F0F 0f (Note: The lowercase part is the part that you shoot to open, I put it in lowercase because it's on another page, and it's not even really what I'm looking for) I was hoping that if I searched for "10101010" in a hex editor, it would be able to locate it, but I didn't have any luck. So I was wondering if anything new something about it. If you're wondering, here's what the doors look like that I made: |
